Interesting you thought my post was laugh-worthy…
That had nothing to do with any other post but yours. It always strikes me as funny when those who spend so much time attacking others try to portray themselves as the “victims.”

It’s much easier to see things clearly when you remove blinders from your vision.

In the area of human evil - Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot - few match the utter evil and immorality of Trump! 😵
Well, now, let’s see:

Mr. Trump hasn’t interred any Jews (or anyone else) inside of concentration camps, nor has he had anyone gassed.

Mr. Trump hasn’t done any of the heinous things Mao did during the cultural revolution. And he hasn’t enacted one-child-only laws as China has, today.

Pol-Pot – I never knew that much about him. I do believe he engaged in massive genocide. I don’t recall Mr. Trump doing that, either.

“Utter evil and immorality of Trump”? I would say he comes nowhere close to any of that. Instead, he has made life better for all Americans, prior to COVID19, and he’s trying to do so, again, with some success.

As for immorality – none of us are perfect moral models. Yes, his language can be crude. Yes, he can be blunt and rough around the edges. That’s a small price to pay for having a strong leader (finally) who stands up for America’s interests.

Frankly, I find his straightforwardness and transparency refreshing. I can tolerate a little crudity when compared to all the good Mr. Trump has done and is still trying to do.

I should have said some media … and its is not just the media …

Adam Schiff - an elected representative - read into the congressional record a highly fictionalized version of the Ukraine call to set the narrative of what the President “really meant” by the what he said … which would not have been necessary at all if the call had been as he wanted it to be. Read into the congressional record … I was appalled by that really - yet so many believe that fiction …

Much like Trump praising the Neo-Nazis in Charlottesville as ‘good people’ when he did not etc … That lie has been retold so many times - yes in the Media [some] … but most people wont go read the entire transcript to see what he really said - and now - even if they do - that narrative will color how they understand the words …

I am all for a free press, but we have not had that in mass for a long time in America - though yellow journalism is not new, it leans heavily to one side and the contrary reports are labeled "far-right’ or ‘alt-right’ and then can be dismissed

Unfortunately this is common among the left. For all it’s talk of people power and working class nonsense, they denigrate the very ones they claim to champion.
I think you’re overlooking the fact that many of the people who dislike Trump, his lies, and his lack of ethics are on the right, not the left. Many on the right feel that Trump does not represent traditional conservative values, and that he’s deeply damaged Republican credibility.

To paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen’s quote to Dan Quayle, “Mr. Trump, you’re no Abraham Lincoln.”

That doesn’t really address my point but okay.

Exactly. Just because I don’t like Trump doesn’t mean I’m “the enemy”. Just because I don’t like Trump doesn’t mean I’m a bad catholic.

And there are A TON of people on CAF the past few days posting like if you don’t like Trump, you are a bad catholic.

Trump isn’t a conservative or what the Republican Party was and (used to) represent.

Now it’s you either support Trump, you never say you dislike him out loud, or you aren’t welcome on CAF.

Lately there’s been just as much posting that if you disagree with the dominant leftist narrative you’re a racist, uncharitable piece of dirt.

I don’t even know what happened in some other thread and someone called me “a grace supporter with the others.”

Can we please stop judging each other.

Ah yes … but if supporters - Catholics here on this forum - support the president and those that do worship him - as in:
He cons his followers into worshiping him
That is what you have implied - that is the narrative you have established - words have meaning … and that implies he has replaced the One God we as Catholics profess

We are literally using people’s words against themselves just so we can say gotcha.

This isn’t the CAF I recognize and used to know.

Easy to say when one side has the smear tactic of calling others racist pieces of garbage who are going against the Pope. It’s easy to post a link to a talk by Francis and ask that others open their ‘hearts’ and ‘reflect prayerfully’ on their errors. But question one thing and you’re an extremist.

Not saying you did that.

LOL 😏

No, this is definitely par for the course and typical for an election year.

Just wait until November 😁
