I believe this is correct.Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t having a Mass without the Bishop’s permission is a violation of Church law? If true, then we already know Fr. Wurm violated Church law.
Other abuses reported were a _ woman reading the Gospel and delivering the homily.
Ned McGrath was on the Al Kresta’s show today. He is the spokesman for the Archdiocese. He said that an investigation would be conducted and would not reveal any other abuses that might have taken place. He did confirm that Fr. Wurn was under the authority of the Archbishop and not the Benedictines as reported else where.
I interpret the Archbishop’s admonishment to priests “participating” as in celebrating the mass as opposed to attending it at observers. So I’m not sure if any other priests might have attended and would be investigated or deserve any rebukes.
