I think you have accurately assessed the situation that we find not only for ourselves, but for our country. This President is simply acting outside of the scope of his authority - and with a majority in the Senate, he has been given the license to effectively act as Dictator in Charge.

No other President to my knowledge has taken a Public Law and announced he would not enforce it (DOMA) SIMPLY BECAUSE HE DOES NOT AGREE WITH IT. He took an oath to uphold the Constitution and the Laws of this Land - and he is trashing them.

He lied to the US public with his sham declaration that no public money would be spent for abortions and that people’s consciences would be respected when he received his honorary doctorate from Notre Dame. He has now threatened to veto any law that forbids public funds from abortion and has gutted any protection of conscience.

This President can not be believed if he says anything that may in any way uphold Catholic teaching - but, he can most certainly be believed when he advances his socialist agenda. Courting the whims of the mob that call themselves ‘Occupy’ is just another example of his ‘community organizer’ background that comes out at every opportunity. He is perfectly at home with a lawless mob because it is like a blank slate he can write on and manipulate. The problem is, he is now the President and this is truly unpresidential to effectively try and overthrow his own government!

I certainly hope that the Republicans would just get their act together and start building a base of support so they can be effective in November.

It is sad to say this, but this is what I believe:
Our President knows exactly what he is doing, he is not dumb, he is super smart.
His policy “against marriage” or “for same sex marriage”, his policy “against life”, or “for abortion”, his policy to hurt religious freedom, all these, are by his design, take no mistake.

He knows what he is doing and he is doing what he wants. He doesn’t care what people think, he cares to carry out his ideology. The only way to change this horror is to vote him out. But, sadly, I agree with some posters who said earlier that lot of Catholics are still blindly supporting him. It makes me wonder… how could they know all these but still want to vote for a person whose belief is all the way against our Catholic faith??? That is really sad.

For whoever can see the truth, we can do our part by praying and helping wake people up. Our time is dark, really dark. Let’s keep up our lights.

The trouble with governments today is that they have become morally blind. They were not founded on moral blindness. Unfortunately, the so called doctrine of separation of Church and State has led to this moral blindness on the part of governments.
