1753 A good intention (for example, that of helping one’s neighbor) does not make behavior that is intrinsically disordered, such as **lying **and calumny, good or just. The end does not justify the means.
Case closed.
Lying though is to be distinguished from “discreet language” and good forms of Mental Reservation …and of course the “hiding” of the Jew per se is not lying…

(the only possibility that one could argue is that in the case of the Nazi there is some different “object” entirely that is involved. But that would have to be worked out by the professional theologians and perhaps confirmed by the Magisterium)
