Are the end times near

I believe we are experiencing the birth pangs now. The Virgin Mary, the Popes and the Saints have been preparing the world for the Second Coming for approximately a century now. There were many Marian Apparitions with end time warnings. Pope Leo XIII heard the conversation between the Lord and Satan. St. Faustina was told to prepare the world for the Second Coming. John Paul II called us the ‘Church of the New Advent’ and said in 1978 that we are entering the time of the Anti-Christ and the Anti-Church. Then we have the mass Apostasy from the Church since the Council coupled with the sex abuse scandal. And finally, last century was the most bloody century in history.

These are beliefs of the Protestant heresy called Dispensationalism.

You might want to read Carl Olsen’s book “Will Catholics Be Left Behind”.

Do you know what the Catholic position is on the tribulation? Do we believe in a pre-tribulation rapture or a post-tribulation rapture? I’m confused on this point.

This is a brief tract.

"As far as the millennium goes, we tend to agree with Augustine and, derivatively, with the amillennialists. The Catholic position has thus historically been “amillennial” (as has been the majority Christian position in general, including that of the Protestant Reformers), though Catholics do not typically use this term. The Church has rejected the premillennial position, sometimes called “millenarianism” (see the Catechism of the Catholic Church 676). In the 1940s the Holy Office judged that premillennialism “cannot safely be taught,” though the Church has not dogmatically defined this issue.

With respect to the rapture, Catholics certainly believe that the event of our gathering together to be with Christ will take place, though they do not generally use the word “rapture” to refer to this event (somewhat ironically, since the term “rapture” is derived from the text of the Latin Vulgate of 1 Thess. 4:17—“we will be caught up,” [Latin: rapiemur]). "

The above mentioned book is good, as is this one

there’s so many people that spread lies of the Truth today, even in the Church, how do we know which one is the antichrist

interesting thoughts…although that’s like millenials from now, and humanity has been kinda destroying itself…

The following are some links that you may find helpful:

God bless you! 🙂

What are your thoughts? Has our globalized society gone so far that we cannot go back? Is it only going to get worse? Will it get better?
There is a lot of bad things going on in the world, but then again there has always been bad things going on. There is no real way to reliably measure where we are right now in terms of a potential apocalypse.

I get the feeling there is a lot of bad blood due to historical events, and alliances are holding together because of mutual interest. But when that is no-longer true, who knows. We have nuclear bombs after-all.

but what about relative moralism emerging, throwing out basic ideas of right and wrong, as well as some of the recent Pope’s vague recent comments are worrying me that even as a Church people with good intentions may not get the whole truth

A globalized society isn’t an inherent evil.

There aren’t multiple kingdoms in Heaven. Only one.

It’s generally agreed by past saints (St Louis de Monfort and others) that the saints in the last generation will surpass the vast majority of previous saints in holiness. That is God’s will, since the mission of the Church is to become more and more like Christ.

Nope. The world is becoming a better place, it’s the truth. Society is not deteriorating, and we would know that readily if most people didn’t rely on news reports that are embellished to boost TV ratings—but consider actually trying to see the big picture over decades, on a world scale, and in real-time—and you’ll see why it’s not something capable of being considered in the moment, or even in your lifetime depending on how young you are; you’ll also see why it’s so easy for people to fall victim to “urgent“ news and an instinct towards negativity. A large amount of change takes a long amount of time to display itself in a way we can all imbibe. Maybe these worldwide figures will help with perspective: the percentage of the world living in extreme poverty has gone from 85% in 1800 to 50% in 1967 to 9% in 2017; the percentage of children dying before their fifth birthday has gone from 42% in 1900 to 4% in 2000; the number of people who die from natural disasters has gone from 971,000 in the 1930s to 72,000 from 2010-2016—I could go on all day, and numbers don’t lie. There are many, many more situations than these, with reliable sources, just let me know and I will hunt them down for you.

I don’t mean globalization being evil but if there’s an evil belief spreading then if the society is all of one mind globally, the world will all fall together. Not sure if you get what I mean?

Satan’s final attack is the family which he is doing right now.

I don’t think it’s smart to predict the day and hour, but to not care at all that prophecy is unfolding before your eyes, even ignoring the signs, would be foolish.

Many saints have had revelations prophecizing about what is to come (which is eerily similar to what we are going through) Mary has been appearing more and more, especially in the last century, where most of her apparitions consisted of acknowledging that the end times are here and to tell people to pray and do penance. Natural disasters are on the rise like no other. Massacres. Terrible Marxist/leftist ideologies cloud a lot of people’s minds these days. Division everywhere.

This part is my own personal opinion, but from what I’ve read, I think the Antichrist will come in my lifetime. Probably either 20 or 40 years from now. It’s been said by saints that civil wars (that will start in France first) will spread like wildfire, and we’ll know somehow that something is about to happen. Communism will be rampant. I don’t know if communism, as in the governing system, will take over, or if it’s meant just the Marxist ideology. But whatever the case, things don’t look too good.
