Are the end times near

The Antichrist will reign for seven years, the first half in cunning and the second half in open rebellion against God, and he will persecute the Church like never has occurred before. The full number of Jews will come into the Church. After these things come to pass, the Lord will return in glory to deliver His People from their oppression.
 
I feel that they are, but of course I don’t worry about it. My reasoning is the large apostasy that is happening across the globe and the non-stop killing in the streets and in schools. Plus the return of snakes to Ireland so to speak has made me wonder the same thing.
 
Two words… Mad Max. Though, the inner cities are already bringing us the wandering bands of armed thugs.

I live in “fly over country,” can hunt/fish/garden/etc. If society goes to hell in a handbasket, so be it. One of the big reasons I’m a fan of the “classic” chamberings such as the 30-06-Springfield for hunting; not terribly hard to find at the moment, and works on everything all the way up to moose/bear. Though, .308Win/7.62x51 comes pretty close.

I think there’s a big difference between the “end of the age” and the end if civilization. Could be wrong, but I get the feeling that the end of “civilization” will come long before the “end of the age.” Would not be surprised to see civilization fall apart in my lifetime.
 
Maybe within few more years or maybe longer. Pray hard and let it be.

It could be the ozone lower hole that sun radiation can go through rather than planet-X.

In Genesis 8:21 YHWH promises to never again be the cause of a world-wide extermination of the human race. Natural disasters would be planet-X or a hole in the earth’s ozone layer or a flood, etc, and all of these are properly classified as “acts of God.” Therefore none of them will be the cause of mankind’s extinction.
Only a disaster caused by man himself can be the source of the next human race extinction.
In the 20th century, mankind finally gained the ability to cause such a disaster. Its occurrance, my friends, is just around the corner.

Thank you for sharing this. I would have bet money that He promised never to destroy the human race again with water/flood! Guess it’s one of those childhood perceptions that sticks in your mind.
 
Genesis records two versions.
The “never again by flood” is the second version.

Please no!!! Not another thread on End Times. Can’t you just do a forum search and go into one of the dozens of these threads that already exist.
Jesus told us nobody knows and that we should always be ready. If you are always ready then when the end comes doesn’t matter.
If anyone tells you they know we are in end times they are talking nonsense.
 
no idea when it will happen but I like to be prepared and try to live a Christian life.

Pope St. Pius X told us exactly that in 1914:
Respect for God has vanished from the hearts of men. They even wish to erase the memory of God. This perversity is nothing less than the beginning of the last days of the world.

He was simply making a point. He wasn’t saying that was actually the start of End of Days. I think you know that very well. Only God knows when that is. Not even a Pope knows!
