They are going into Louisville to provoke protesters to attack them, and then they say it’s self defense when they shoot the protesters.
Blatant lie.

Suppose you fill us in. Give us a news link or show us some photos of these men provoking the protesters.

Tell us their location at this moment.

You can’t can you ?

How about arson, looting, murder, wanton endangerment, blocking EMS routes to hospitals, carjackings, robbery, vandalism, etc. ? All documented.

You find that appalling ? Can you answer yes without following the word yes with the word “but” ?

Thats about as stupid as rioting, isnt it.
Totally not in favor of rioting. Absolutely. So is showing up to a riot with weapons when you have no law enforcement function.

Jefferson Square Park. Edit: actually, the protesters are there. don’t know where the Cosplay dudes are.

Totally wrong. But extra-judicial action is also not warranted.

Lost you on that. Oh, wait.

Do I find that appalling? YES. No if, ands, or buts about it.

Again, all of this mess, is due to incompetent city leaders not willing to protect their citizens. You should direct your indignation at those people.
Yes

And stop voting for them as well.

Louisville’s mayor isn’t responsible for the recent crime increase, but he is responsible for enabling it to continue.

The amazing thing to me is the singular focus of those on the left with getting Trump out of office, and their virtual silence of the performance of these mostly Democrat mayors.

So your assumption/statement you made about these guys provoking protesters in order to have a reason to shoot them might not pan out ?

How do you feel about that ?

What do you think the reaction would be if I, after reading about a group of presumably black people who were going to protest against police brutality, said that they “were going into Louisville to provoke police to attack them, and then say it’s self defense when they throw bricks at the police.” Let’s throw in some other perjorative terms equal to “gun not cosplay wannabes” in there as well.

The reaction would be to call me a racist. How DARE I presume that these young black men were going there to provoke the police and then riot. These PEACEFUL protestors are simply exercising their first amendment rights!

Want to know who the racist is? Those who would treat the situations differently because of the skin color of those involved.

I mean, if these guys can do it why can’t some members of Black Lives Matter or some other left-wing group form armed patrols? Would you be comfortable with that? What if two opposing militias clash using arms?
Like they did in Seattle?

This is just more of the hypocrisy that is so prevalent of the last few years. If it’s done with Democrat support, it’s fine, however, if it evens hints of support of American nationalism, American pride, love of country, it must be evil.

If we had a law enforcement function in place in these cities we wouldn’t have rioting, nor the need for people to show up with guns to protect the actual innocent.

No, just trying to make the point that we all should know better by now than to trust anything news orgs “report”.

The group is armed but we have local people doing “lives”. They walk around downtown filming the protests and streaming it live. Even before these patriots started heading to town, these live streams have showed protesters with guns.

These patriots are here as a deterrent and have stated they will do what they’re told by the police. And they have told the police that if the police have a need for their assistance, they will be there for them.

They aren’t downtown because the police asked them not to go. And that is the difference between them and the protesters.

Two distinct groups. One law abiding, in support of the law, with, no evidence of criminal activity. The other, sometimes a peaceful nuisance at worst, but has a lawless element in their ranks. With plenty of documented criminal activity.

Boy…that doesn’t sound like a bunch of gun nuts playing cosplay, does it @PaulinVA? Would you be willing to change your mind if these “gun nuts playing cosplay” show up, don’t provoke the rioters into violence, and don’t shoot anyone?

Kinda like they did in Michigan? And at The Alamo?

Or are you just dead set that white men with guns are violent antagonists?

My sincere apologies. I thought you were Irish/lived in Ireland and thought you might not know. We all have to speculate on the limits of knowledge of others any time we interact with them (for example, I don’t know if shooting clay pigeons is a thing in Ireland0, but we don’t have to do so in a demeaning way. If I came across that way, then please accept my apologies for it was not my intent.

Definitely, absolutely gun nuts in Cosplay.

The guy is definitely a member of the National Guard. His Commander cannot stop him from doing this on his day off.

And they are not coming here to take matters into their own hands. They are here in support of the police department and they are not hypocrites like a lot of the protesters are.

As I mentioned in a previous post, some of the protesters here in Louisville have been open carrying guns for weeks now. And KY has a law allowing concealed carry without a permit. That law went into effect July 2019. So it’s safe to say that there are probably quite a few protesters carrying concealed weapons as well.

These gun nut Cosplay wannabes
Is this guy a "gun not cosplay wannabe’? Or is that term reserved for white people?

From: Breonna Taylor protests: Guns seen in anticipation of militia

Sutton, a U.S. Navy Veteran, wore a green ammunition vest. He carried a handgun and had PTR 91 rifle strapped to his back.

Sutton, who is Black, said he wanted to change the perception of African American gun owners, who he said are often “criminalized.”

“We are just regular Americans,” he said. “We are the same as everyone else and enjoy the same Second Amendment rights.”

Sutton’s motivation to join Saturday’s protest, though, was to call attention to the deaths of both Taylor and David McAtee, who was shot and killed by a National Guard member in June amid the protests over Taylor’s killing in March.

“We want change across the board in our criminal justice system,” he said.

He can do whatever he wants within the law as long as he’s clear he’s acting in his capacity as a private citizen, not a member of the National Guard.

So what does qualify to be considered “cosplay” to you. BTW - it was an “ammunition vest” AND one of those dangerous-looking “ASSAULT-TYPE WEAPON” he was wearing.

Is that enough?

Or…would he have to be white?

Imagine if the roles were reversed here, the cries of racism would be deafening.

The reserves, and then the guard, have different rules. For example, one cannot serve as a legislator and be active duty, but okay if in the guard and reserves. Same thing with other political activities. It has to do with, being active duty, you are ALWAYS on active duty, but with guard/reserves you are only on AD when on orders.
