PS. Ramadan fasting is for 30 days. Prayer , fasting , Reciting Quran will be recorded & measured as good deeds , not to feed hungry people will be measured as bad deed. If one’s good deeds are more than bad deeds , s/he will be in heaven forever . Sinners will be in fire . Those who are sinners but worshipped one God only , after remaining in fire for some days/ months/years , s/he will be come out of fire & will be in heaven.

In the RCC teaching, having faith without good deeds to fellow human, is as good as dead. It is through the good deed applied to the fellow human, that one’s faith is reflected.

If you believe that you said the shahada, doing sholat, fasting during the ramadhan, paying pilgrimage visit to Kaaba, but never pay zakat, sadaqah, and infaq (alm to the needy) and still believe to make it to heaven, then I won’t debate you further, and just wish you congratulation.
 
**Police is Police. It may be a one for moral improvement or may be against the Crime. In west they do not have any check on morals so they do not need any moral police. All they have are criminals. So the west has got anti-Crime police. No harm. All is good.

But there should be no police to enforce Sharia. No police to send people to mosques for prayers. That would be bad… How much? Too much !!**

The Special province of Aceh in Northern tip of Sumatra really have sharia police. They do enforce sharia law, although legally they are enforcing sharia law to the muslim only.

Yes and NO. Please correct your statement to " Muhammad’s greatest miracle is the Quran." ( Don’t mind please).

Otherwise there are many more miracles. And he gave the news of the unseen (unknown) things.

Please add to the above: The miracles of muhammad are even taking place now in these days (present times).

According to the Quran, Muhammad was only a warner and his only miracle was the Quran itself.

Yes, Muhammad was not only a warner but he was the messenger of Good news too. (he is called Basheer and Nazeer.)

Basheer means the one who gives good news.
Nazeer is the one who warns.

His whole life was a miracle. How he came up from an orphan to a good developed high morale pure life status. There were many attempts on his life. I can remember at least five of them. But he was saved miraculously. He worked for liberty, free speech. But his pagan friends / relatives did not allow that in Makkah.

Those pagans said that they could speak / say anything. But Muhammad will not be allowed to say/ speak / preach anything. He had to run for his life and reached Madinah safely.

While he was running away, some one got his news. There was a prize of 100 camels on Muhammad’ head, dead or alive. That man who felt or got the news, went riding at high speed to catch Muhammad. But he was prevented by Divine will (of God).

That man asked Muhammad to give some writen guarantee of his safety. The prophet told his companion (Abubakr) to give the writing. Then the Prophet told that person who was pursuing : " How you will feel when the gold bangles of Kisra (the king of Iran) will be put in your arms?"

After about 22 years, when Iran was liberated, the bangles of the king reached Madinah. The caliph Umar called that fellow who was then a Muslim and still alive, and he put the gold bangles of the king in the arms of that fellow who pursued the prophet (approx) 22 years before.

Hey, they make up history as it goes - why not invent some miracles?!

She can’t supply any hadiths that prove the points of any miracles during mohammed’s time, and the miracles according to islam is similar to the definition of war and all its atrocities to islam! You know - ‘opening up the world to islam’ - and that is why all these ‘peaceful’ ones don’t make a peep about all the violence in the name of islam. And in fact support it by supporting the likes of hamas.

Hitler also had 6 or 7 attempts on his life and they were all unsuccessful - no - it’s NOT a miracle he (mohamad) dodged them by running away and hiding.

Perhaps you need to look up the definition of liberty…

“Freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc.; power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice.”

And as far as free speech you mention, he killed or had killed anyone who spoke against him and his new religion and preaching. Even poets for writting against him were put to death. Freedom of speech… Don’t think so… :eek:

Please point me to a reference of mohamads “pagan friends” who defended him. I’m totally unaware of such actions from the pagans.

Mohamad got what he deserved in Mecca, which is why he ran away to Medina. In Mecca, mohamad continued to proclaim himself as a prophet and demanded he be heard. No Jew or pagan or other will listen to him. Nice prophet, people won’t listen to him and follow his way so now he gets violent.

Narrated Muhayyisah: The Apostle of Allah said: If you gain a victory over the men of Jews, kill them. So Muhayyisah jumped over Shubaybah, a man of the Jewish merchants.

He had close relations with them. He then killed him. At that time Huwayyisah (brother of Muhayyisah) had not embraced Islam.

He was older than Muhayyisah. When he killed him, Huwayyisah beat him and said: O enemy of Allah, I swear by Allah, you have a good deal of fat in your belly from his property.**

I’m sort of confussed here with this… What is “Kisra”? Please explain… Are you refering to king Khosrau of Persia?? What is a “bangle(s)”?

jakasaki, his time in mecca was not that peaceful as the muslims like to deceive us about. They do it all the time - and I post these all the time so as to make sure people are not fooled by untruths told by some.

there was a change in mohammed’s teachings. He went from a relatively benign position to outright violence, theft, killing, torture, etc. I have often shown that even in his ‘what we will call peaceful period at mecca - he was still a pill’ to people and the elders went to mohammed’s uncle to ask him to stop mohammed from behaving so poorly. These following hadiths show that mohammed’s assertions about his being treated poorly was in fact the opposite and mohammed was the one who behaved poorly.

**Ishaq:119 “'Abu Tabib, your nephew Muhammad has cursed our gods [at this point he had cursed all of them, including Allah], insulted our religion [more correctly, insulted them by trying to steal their religion], mocked our way of life and accused our forefathers of error. Either you stop him or let us get to him. For you, like us, are in opposition to him. He gave them a conciliatory reply. They returned a second time and said, ‘We have asked you to put a stop to your nephew’s activities but you have not done so. By Allah, we cannot endure having our fathers reviled and our customs mocked.’ Muhammad thought that his uncle had the idea of abandoning and betraying him, and that he was going to lose his support. The Apostle broke into tears.”

Tabari VI:93 “The Quraysh went to Abu Talib and said, ‘Your nephew [Muhammad] has reviled our gods, denounced our religion, derided our traditional values, and told us that our forefathers were misguided [and burning in hell]. Either curb his attacks on us or give us a free hand to deal with him, for you are as opposed to him as we are.’ They said, ‘We asked you to forbid your nephew from attacking us, but you did nothing. By Allah, we can no longer endure this vilification of our forefathers, this derision of our traditional values, and this abuse of our gods.’ This breach and enmity with his tribe weighed heavily on Talib. ‘Abu Talib, you are our elder and our chief, so give us justice against your nephew and order him to desist from reviling our gods, and we will leave him to his god.’”

Tabari VI:95 “Abu Talib sent for Muhammad. ‘Nephew, here are the shaykhs and nobles of your tribe. They have asked for justice against you. You should desist from reviling their gods and they will leave you to your god.’”

Tabari VI:96 “Abu Talib said to Muhammad, ‘Nephew, how is it that your tribe is complaining of you and claiming that you are reviling their gods and saying this, that, and the other?’ The Messenger said, 'I want them to utter one saying. If they say it, the Arabs will submit to them and the non-Arabs will pay the jizyah [submission tax] to them.”**

Take note that mohammed’s own uncle who took care of him after his mother died (after she was forced to take him back when his wet nurse rejected him) and treated him very well always taking him along on his caravans with him. And this is probably where he learned that the caravans had women and children, and were poorly armed, for his relentless attacks against them for loot and slaves.

This guy is basically, not a nice guy to say the very least.

The Story of Prophet Solomon (Part 2)

Prophet Solomon (p) was gifted the ability to talk birds

…One day, he was reviewing this army when he noted that the hoopoe bird was absent without permission. It was the job of the hoopoe to look for water when the army needed it.

The bird had been travelling in the country of Saba (Sheba), which is in modern-day Yemen, and it returned and declared to Solomon:
  • (An-Naml 27:22-24)
Solomon was a deeply religious man and was distressed that a whole people should be lost in worshipping the sun, rather than the One God who created it.

He decided to send a mission to the Queen, whose name was Bilqis, inviting her and her people to worship God:

[Allah! – there is no god but He! – Lord of the Throne supreme! (Solomon) said: "Soon shall we see whether thou hast told the truth or lied! Go thou, with this letter of mine, and deliver it to them…] (An-Naml 27:26-27)

According to local sources, the land of the Queen of Sheba was modern day Eritrea, not Yemen. Also, what does this story have to do with anything being discussed?
 
Why dose the Qu’ran say an ant talked to Solomon?

Ants can’t communicate like humans - you don’t even need scientific data to know this!

If a hadith or surah that says the story of the talking ant is a fable or parable can be found, please present it. I don’t know if Islam has a tradition like Christianity dose, but if it’s a tradition that the talking ant story is a fable or parable, please let me know. Thanks!

Well, I don’t expect any less from you, but we get it.

So, by changing history for muslims that doesn’t make it true anymore? Yes, islam was spread by the sword. It was the reason why the Crusades were called many times. It is still going on around this globe.

BUT!! I am aware of your definitions for war - it is ‘opening up the world to islam’ and all the atrocities of war don’t apply because we are just kufir/infidels.

Like the aura of goodness has been put around killing, torturing, raping, slavery, etc in islam you are now trying to put that aura of goodness around islam’s blood bath of a history.

History of jihad speaks for itself and it is not nowhere near peaceful.

I got this quote from an Indian website that might put into perspective some of the violence perpetrated in the name of islam:

From 1843 to 1846 10,000 Assyrian Christians including women and children were massacred by the Muslims. From 1915 to 1918 750,000 Assyrians were killed in the name of Islamic Jihad. In 1933 thousands of Assyrian villagers were murdered by the Iraqi soldiers in Northern Iraq. Since 1990 more than 10,000 Kashmiri Hindus have been brutally murdered by Islamic fundamentalists. Over 280,000 Ugandans killed during the reign of Idi Amin from 1971 to 1979. Over 30,000 Mauritanians have been killed by the Islamic dictators since 1960. In 1980, 20,000 Syrians were murdered under the rule of Hafez Al-Assad, President of Syria. Since 1992 120,000 Algerians have been murdered by the Islamic fundamentalist army.

It doesn’t even go into much of the deaths since they declared jihad against us in the 1970s and then again in the 1990s, etc. The Philippines has seen over 100,000 violent jihadist acts, much of it against unarmed civilians since 9/11 too.

You can see by my signature the number of jihadist attacks since 9/11 and who knows how many were murdered and injured during these attacks.
