I’ll rephrase my question. Do Muslims and Christians worship the same God?

Thank you for all your answers! I really do appreciate it.

Would you mind telling us where you are from. If you don’t want to, that’s fine. I’m just curious.

The South justified slavery from a Biblical perspective. They stood on a Biblical argument as their position.
what is your point? the message in Islam hasn’t changed.
the Imams have presented consistent teaching throughout history.
according to their books, they are not wrong.
have you read their books?

on slavery
(Bold mine)
… The most that shari’a could do, and did in fact do, in that historical context was to modify and lighten the harsh consequences of slavery and discrimination on grounds of religion or gender…

Shari’a recognized slavery as an institution but sought to restrict the sources of acquisition of slaves, to improve their condition, and to encourage their emancipation through a variety of religious and civil methods.

Nevertheless, slavery is lawful under shari’a to the present day.

I think yes, because we believe that the God who sent Muhammad, sent Jesus and Simon before him, but our theology is different

May be. I do not have enough information about this.

Heaven is not just a place for sexual relations. In addition such relations are between spouses.

I am from Iran.

My point is that our New Testament ( and the old) can also be construed as hateful.

Nice food, nice house, nice friends, nice weather, nice conversation
Fascinating. A bit like the paradise rich people create for themselves here on earth. Is this written in the Quran or any Islamic texts, or is it simply what you believe heaven is like?

Could you name just a few significant differences in practices between Shia and Sunni? Or, is it only a leadership question.

the Imams you want to censor are teaching the same message today that they have been teaching for centuries. it isn’t hateful it is their religion. they believe in what they preach.

Christians do not have a Shari law that mandates all aspects of life.

What is Islam’s position on apostasy and what (if anything) should be done with apostates?

I think you misunderstand me, or maybe I don’t understand what you’re saying. My argument is in defense of Islam.

if you read the Koran you would see that what the Imams preach is part of the book. the teachings you want to be censored is the truth of the religion. people need to listen so they know the reality of Islam. the goal is world submission.

What do you think about Islam’s ruling on the death penalty for apostates? Do you think this is just, and if so, can you explain why?

No. According to Qudsi Hadith, Gifts of Heaven are special. No eye has ever saw and no ear has ever hear and no min has ever imagine it.

The main difference is leadership after the prophet Muhammad. Sunni law has a few difference to shiee. for example hands’ position in prayer.

Sunni believe that they can see God with their eyes in Doomsday But Shiees believe that only with hearteye we can see the God.

Leaving Islam has no punishment in this life, and apostates can debate in safety with Muslims, but they can’t make propaganda with it, and if they did so, they will be they will be arrested, in worse condition male apostate may sentence to death (in Sunni law no difference between male and female)

No. They have right to talk with no Prosecution. They have the right to debate and discuss. It just have 1 condition: One informed must be there and give the answer to their claim.

Because God ordered that. But it is true to say "to they can’t fool the “unknowing people”
How is heaven described in Shia Islam?
As Quran describes. Our main source is the Quran.

Funny topic.

Anything to say about supposed Asia Bibi’s “blasphemy” and Muslims wanted to kill her at all costs?
[…] Noreen recounts that when they made derogatory statements about Christianity and demanded that she convert to Islam, she responded, "I believe in my religion and in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for the sins of mankind. What did your Prophet Mohammed ever do to save mankind? And why should it be me that converts instead of you?"

A mob came to her house, beating her and members of her family before she was taken away by the police.

*Noreen’s family went into hiding after receiving death threats, some of which threatened to kill Noreen if released from prison. Muslim cleric Maulana Yousaf Qureshi announced a bounty of 500,000 Pakistani rupees to anyone who would kill her.
How does this urge to killing (and massacres of Christians in the past) correspond to you calling Muslims and Christians “brothers”?

No. It is not a cop-out. In fact all religious order is from God and we must perform it for God.

On the other hand, it is not a social control. We don’t ask people about their belief. If they just discuss with known people, nobody can prevent them.

Thank you. Of course my pleasure.
As-Salāmu ‘alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi wa Barakātuhu.

Thank you, brother.

I’m having a think about some of the issues raised in this thread (as fast as my old brain will allow 🥴). In šāʾ Allāh, I’ll return soon.
