Perhaps, however i have never played black flag and from playing the first several games and then Origins the game made clear improvements while i still felt consistent with the Assassins creed universe. With odyssey the special abilities and superhuman character, monsters and now complete lack of history apart from a few characters where the people in the game have modern attitudes in line with new social trends is just too much for me. It’s an arcade rpg experience. Even the AI is woeful as people will just walk past dead bodies in the street and have no purpose.

I’m just playing Kingdom come deliverance which can be described more as a medieval simulator in relation to Odyssey. The AI is fantastic, everyone has a purpose in the world with daily tasks and desires, the peoples attitudes are clearly of the times, not some SJW version of it. I think it makes me miss more how far Assassins creed has strayed from the universe it was created to be in all to try and maximize sales.

I can’t comment on Origins, but the series in general moved away from commenting on a historical period’s culture and more towards showing major historical places, events, and people without really commenting deeply on the culture of the time. Black Flag was barely even an AC (though still fun for what it was), and Syndicate got so weird that it let you turn invisible.

Fair enough i suppose, while i do understand they needed to improve the game with new mechanics which is felt origins did well and odyssey does well with the rpg elements the game has turned arcadey. It’s become a button mashing exercise zooming around the screen and now with monsters and SJW elements. They have tried too hard to resemble the witcher 3 that it’s as far away from assassins creed universe as you can be.
