Wow, I’ve been on quite a few forums and I’ve never quite seen topics on homosexuality explode like they do here.

…Must be a lot of homosexuals here.

Really? Maybe it’s an age thing, but I had a person I was very close to come out to me before I hired him so it wouldn’t cause a problem. Honestly, it never would have caused a problem - I suspected he was gay for a long time, but this was 2004. I’m in my late 40s.

Probably how they did in the past - ostracized and depressed.
And so when they come out of the closet they are to be demonized where they will be ostracised and depressed for an attraction they did not choose. For the sake of combating the acceptance of an illicit act? Did I miss anything?

If someone wants gay marriage to be illegal by popular vote, then all that would have to happen.

That’s cruelty to the innocent! Yes gay marriage is sinful and should be condemned. But having innocent people be demonized, ostracised, and depressed for the sake of preventing a vote seems horrific. How will these same sex attracted people live in society? What did they ever do to deserve this?

No. But, if the homosexuals come out of the closet and are not demonized, then voters will support homosexual marriage.
Who cares, homosexual marriage isn’t a voting option anymore. The battle is over… Permanently… Lets get over it.

Laws are not permanent in society. Just look at the history of law and you will see that laws are amended, kept, or even wiped out. It all depends on societies values. If society changes its values again, the law will also change

I used to think like that… Remind me why I should care again, I forgot.

Just be glad that the battles are over… The progressives have nothing else. 🤣

Yes, but you won’t get majorities against gay marriage if the homosexuals aren’t demonized.
To a degree it is true that, in the course of rejecting SSM, the sexual behaviour is rejected, but not the persons.
