Haha, my oldest starts preschool in the fall and I cannot WAIT.
I do feel like I cherish a lot of times with my kids. They are funny, and I do take time during the day just to be silly with them or watch them play.
But I know I’m already super thankful that my oldest can fairly reliably run for a towel and help me clean up spilled milk, or that he sort-of makes his bed, and can dress himself and use the toilet completely independently. I think when this baby comes he might surprise me by how helpful he is. I loved him when he was littler, too, and when he was a baby, but oh man was it harder!
I loved this blog post though because frankly, it is hard to be the only adult around lots of little kids who have no idea how much work you put in just to make sure they don’t die everyday.
I did hear from my MIL once that “the years fly by,” but she also added, “but each day feels like it takes
forever.” And I can deal with that one.
