Welcome Ben! I, too, am a former Baptist. Born and raised for the first 55 years of my life. Then I decided to go to college, a Baptist college, earned my associate through Masters in Business. My first religion class, the prof mentioned the early church fathers and St. Augustine. He said Augustine has had the most influence on today’s christian church second only to Christ. I had never heard of early church fathers. I started researching and reading, and felt a strong draw to the Catholic Church. I couldn’t find anything to disprove it - even the scripture I had read and memorized supported Catholicism. Suddenly, I saw the true understanding which supported all of the sacraments. After 2-3 years, I finally had the courage to walk into a Catholic Mass. I knew I was home during the procession. I will pray for you and I encourage you to keep searching. Listen to Catholic radio, watch EWTN, read-read-read! Scott Hahn’s Rome Sweet Home is probably what clinched it for me. Like Mrsdizzy and Agatha, PM me if I can be of any help.
