Best of all, all I had to do was click my mose three times and say, “There’s no place like home, There’s no place like home, There’s no place like home,” and I and back here.

It kind of reminds me of The Berlin Wall, it was meant to keep people in, not out.Sorry. You’re too late to read the anti-Catholic things. They’ve completely deleted the forum entitled “Catholicism”.
BluegrassJimmie is a mod over there???Hey boys and girls,
I have released you all from the cooler/coffee break at Bibleforums. Here is the deal: you will be able to post there, however catholic-related threads will be moved to our world religions forum. This is one of three hidden forums to which you will have to request specific membership. Those of you who have accounts there can do this by going into your UserCP → Group Memberships → and then applying for the controversial issues forums. Since you are new, you’ll need to state a reason why. Tell me something like “Here to talk RCC” and you’ll be authorized.
If anyone decides to not play by these rules and proselytize the catholic faith, you will be removed immediately and permanently.
YAY, but now, here’s a question for you. Why is this a hidden forum? and why do you need permission? Why won’t you let everyone see these threads and make their own decisions? What is there to hide?Hey boys and girls,

**Praise the Lord! I’ve been looking for a place where my posts will be hidden.Hey boys and girls,

Ain’t that exciting. Just like the Catacombs! …This is one of three hidden forums to which you will have to request specific membership.
Can I choose to be fed to wild beasts in the Coliseum instead??**If anyone decides to not play by these rules and proselytize the catholic faith, you will be removed immediately and permanently.

Yes, I am a mod there. And is that an improvement on the stereotype, or have I worsened the view? I mean this seriously. Believe it or not, I was out with a number of friends from my church last night and was riding their collective cases for making ignorant statements about RCC. The typical “they pray to Mary” “they worship the pope” stuff.BluegrassJimmie is a mod over there???
Great, and now I have to reassess my stereotypes about Protestants–AGAIN.
Careful. I don’t want you to fall in!—> Matthew 5:22 But I say to you, that whosoever is angry with his brother, shall be in danger of the judgment. And whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council. And whosoever shall say, Thou Fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.…
And TNT… you can spare me the martyr garbage, If you really think a forum created for Protestants is going to allow any non-Protestant to have full run of the place then you are a fool…
How ya like them apples?![]()
Finally: I do want to apologize to you all on behalf of the protestants who spread misinformation about your faith. I can only tell you where I stand: If you are proclaiming faith in Christ and have accepted him as your Savior, then you are brothers nd sisters in my book.
Apology accepted. How ya like them apples?
Boy are you in for a shock then!Come on now… you’re going to quote scripture to a Protestant? I thought we were the experts in scripture quoting.

LOL… this is too funny.
Hehe.I would just like everybody who posted in thread to know that, if nothing else, you gave me an excellent teaching opportunity with my teenage daughter.
She was looking over my shoulder while I was reading the thread and asked about it. Her question was, “Why won’t they (baptist.org) even listen to questions?”
My response was, “Well, that should tell you a lot. Catholicism is the Truth. The Truth can stand up to any questioning. You can ask any question you want about the Catholic Church. Just be sure that when you ask, you research all the answers.”
She left the room with a big smile on her face.
Just thought you’d like to know that you helped plant a seed and make her stronger in her faith. And for that, thank you!
I’m giving it a try for a while, but I’m leaving my guns at home. I am going to focus on family issues and other areas of commonality. Some features there are better, some worse. It definitely has a different flavor.Maybe I’ll come check it out.
Thanks magicsilence! I just saw this post. Off topic, I wanted to tell you that I have a lot of family in London. Tell them I said, “Hello!”Hiya charity, i ventured over to the baptist board aswell, using the same name though. Just like to point out i loved your posts! Brilliant, a severe lack of responses to them i noticed. Keep up the good work.
Hiya Eden. Like to point out that reading your posts on that baptist site was such a breath of fresh air. You sounded like a HEAVYWEIGHT apologist. Amazing. When they responded, you wiped the floor with them every time. Keep it up!
Magicsilence.
I never posted at the protestant sites, and only looked at a couple of threads, so I’m not sure what the fuss is about. I am wondering, though, what would it look like for Catholics to go to your site and “try to make converts”? To me, that would be something like a Catholic saying “All you Baptists have distorted the gospel and had better submit to the authority of the One True Church (RCC) or you’re going to hell!” Fundamentalists occasion come here and say similar things like “stop worshiping Mary and accept Christ”, but they’re overwhelmed pretty quickly. I think you should censor Catholic trolls. There you’ll be able to refute any misrepresenations posted. And to be honest, I hope you do. One thing I give the people here credit for is that you guys got your faith down cold. I don’t agree with parts of it, but your unity and education regarding the church is commendable. If someone at my forum is blatantly misinformed, by all means call them on it. BUT… you guys won’t be allowed to try to make converts. If you can’t deal with that, then save me a push of the ban button and stay here.
Bill Jackson gave this public response:
Martyrs Mirror gives an account of Anabaptista being persecuted back to Apostolic times. **
www.dodone.org/NA.html gives more Baptistic groups. The name “Baptist” was given as a slur. Baptist groups were around under many different names. One reason their history is hard to trace is because you Catholics killed all of them you could and then rewrote their histories…**
It’s a shame because now I can’t respond appropriately to this from another poster:
**Well, Eden, we do celebrate the birth of our Lord and since the exact date is not stated in the scriptures thiugh, we do know it certainly isn’t Dec. 25 we do honor His birth on that date. surely you aren’t going to presume that date was set by the catholic church are you? **
**For if you will do a simple search of that particular holiday Christmas was originally celebrated in January but, president F.D.R. moved it back to the last month of the year for tax reasons to assist retail merchandisers to move out merchandise before the first of the year and give them a break on their taxes paid on stock on hand. **
Give 'em a link to Orthodoxy–especially one with a picture of Mary and Orthodox saints. I am sure they’ll change their minds. However, they seem to be perfectly fine with eastern Orthodox - how funny, they must not realize just how close to Catholicism EO truly are!![]()
