hmm… That’s interesting, because every time I do that I get 100% Conservative Christian/Protestant and 96% RC/ 96% EO.

(of course I leave all my other answers the same)

It may depend on what priority you give the answer I guess, or also what your other answers are?:confused:

I usually say that too. Maybe not nice, but it does work. I knew an atheist who’d invite them in and try to discuss things with them. Not a pretty picture.
 
What is not nice about it? The alternative is nastier. Mormons stopped at my house and I’ve said “I’ve already made my choice in religion and I’m am not interested.” However, they then look up my geneaology and wouldn’t leave me alone. It got very ugly.

The difference between EO and RC is so subtle that I think the argument is simply a matter on the part of EO’s to protect cultural differences.

Not nice because it’s not true. But having them come back again and again is pretty nasty.
 
Not too terribly strange a result here. I received two 100% scores: Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic, which is actually kind of odd because when I took the Baltimore Catechism quiz on another thread I only scored 98%. My third score was 83% Mainline to Conservative Protestant. I’m happy with the way it turned out.

Higher on Reform which, actually, is rather odd because I’m quite ‘observant’, it’s probably a reflection of my political liberalism. My guess is that my overall profile (I was also quite high on Islam) reflected being strong on monotheism and lack of incarnations.

This is because the writers of the quiz have the erroneous idea that Catholics must confess ALL sins in a confessional to a priest.

However, Catholicism doesn’t teach that. It teaches that only mortal sins must be confessed to a priest. Yes, it’s good to confess venial sins in the confessional and yes there is nothing wrong with it and it is encourage. However the Catholic does not have to confess venial sins in the confessional. Confessing venial sins can be done in the comforts of your bedroom.

I answered honestly, that I confess all sins/wrongs but not necessarily to a cleric, because I do not confess all venial sins to a priest but do confess all mortal sins to a priest.

I don’t have any idea how Mormons and SDA got in there.:eek: I would think the question about the Trinity would automatically eliminate Mormons.

yeah, but jack hawkins said the he put (confess but not necessarily to a cleric) as his answer and still got 100% RC as the result. So I don’t get it!

Seventh-Day Adventist were in my top 5 as well. As for Mormons, maybe some of your answers were more Mormon.

I just don’t get it…
I think it’s funny how all these “Catholics” can get 100% Catholic but yet very so much on the the others. (I would think we would all have the same answers).
