It will be interesting to see if it is put into practice, and if that is the true motive for Baha’i posters on the forum (to convert Christians).

In any case, thanks for the link. I have to say I enjoyed reading it. Steve
Dear SteveVH - No man on this Earth Converts another Dear Friend in God.

Armed with that information, we can only share what we Believe. 😊

[BIBLEDRB][/BIBLEDRB]

Hi Steve, it’s not relevant to categorise it as Bahai think or Catholic think. What is important in the context of this discussion on this theme of the relativity of truth is, is it Jewish think?

The perspective is very simple.

To a Jew, this is truth: (from the Jewish Encyclopedia(

Circumcision causes an angel to save the Israelites from the pangs of Gehenna, to which, according to Ezek. xxxii. 24, the uncircumcised ('arelim) are consigned (Tan., Lek Leka, ed. Buber, 27; Ex. R. xix.). According to Gen. R. xlviii., it is Abraham who sits at the gate of Gehenna to save the circumcised (see Abraham). “Circumcision is of such importance that heaven and earth are held only by the fulfilment of that covenant [after Jer. xxxi. 35]; and all the merits of Moses could not shield him against the danger to which he was exposed in consequence of the neglect of this command. It is a thirteenfold covenant”

Does a Catholic hold the words written above to be wholly and totally true?

If not, then you have Bahai progressive revelation.

The same goes with the Jewish statement that Moses is the greatest man to ever walk the earth. Does a Catholic think that? No. But a Jew does. If you say that this is an incomplete interpretation of the Jewish literature, then you are basically stating the validity of the relativity of truth.
It is absolutely true that in order for a Jew to belong to the Abrahamic Covenant; to be one of the chosen people, that one must be circumcised. Gentiles have been spared this requirement (Acts 15)

It is absolutely true that in order to enter into the New and Everlasting Covenant in Christ’s blood one must be Baptized.

One does not make the other false.

Dear Steve, let us focus.

Does the Catholic church believe that circumcision will save you from the pangs of Gehenna (Hell)? If you are uncircumcised, you go to hell.

A common view among Baha’is is that Jesus’s body was left in the tomb. This, however, is not the only view. See the following, quite long, article:

angelfire.com/mo/baha/christliving.html

Basically, the material body of Christ vanished when Christ was raised in His ethereal body. Please do read the article, it is quite informative of what the Baha’i position actually is. Thanks and God bless.
I have since found out that this article is in now way to be Taken as the Official Baha’i Viewpoint, though an interesting read it is not an authorized Interpretation or summary of the Baha’i writings.

Sorry all for the confusion.😊

It is One Persons Viewpoint, one that has withdrawn from the Baha’i Faith.

God Bless all and Regards Tony

My mistake. Sorry. 😊

Dear Friend - No sorriness required 👍

It just needed to be pointed out that this is one persons personal opinion, as such the value we can place on this, is as interest only. It also has to be said that as it is interest value only, it may not reflect the intent of the Baha’i Writings.

There were some interesting thoughts! I also think it shows the unfortunate situation we put ourselves in when the puny finite mind tries to unravel the Infinite.

To me we should just get on with Loving Each other under the One and Only God 😉 😃

May we all achieve that Aim - God Bless and Regards Tony

Because your fight has not been with flesh and blood, but with Principalities and The Rulers and The Powers of this dark world and with wicked spirits which are under Heaven.

Dear Michael - This is a very Holy Place for Baha’is - Dear friend in God I would like you to consider it is not appropriate to post this in a disrespectful way. Our eyes are not worthy to gaze upon that structure.

God Bless and Regards Tony
No disrespect was intended. It is a very beautiful photo. I would certainly remove it if it causes you offense, but I am unable to do so.

Might I just add dear Michael that Bahais, without question, believe, indeed are certain that Baha’u’llah is very much alive today in His spiritual Body

God bless you

🙂

Michael1978 - Dear friend in God,** if you wish to balance the Faith and Love of Christ on the pretext of Mortal remains, then this may be a weak foundation for the Love of Christ.**

But that is for you to decide and I wish you always strong Faith and Love for Christ.

I would consider that God does indeed give us everything we ask for.

God Bless and Regards Tony
Dear friend, if not for the death and bodily resurrection of Christ Jesus our faith would be without meaning. Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead. . Not just a spiritual ascension into heaven, but a physical bodily resurrection. Just as it is appointed for all men to die. The faithful will one day be in heaven with glorified physical bodies, just like Jesus. I know this is not a belief we share, but you should understand the Christian point of view.

And we believe that Jesus is physically alive. And in fact Jesus is present with us in the Eucharist - body, blood, soul and divinity, but that is perhaps a different topic entirely.

Of course dear brother 🙂
I fully understand the Christian point of view, however I just cannot rationally marry this point of view with the statement that “flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of heaven”

🙂

Your quote is from Paul’s letter to the Corinthians 15:50. You need to read the passage in context because Paul is not referring to Jesus.
11 For whether I, or they, so we preach, and so you have believed.
12 Now if Christ be preached, that he arose again from the dead, how do some among you say, that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen again.
14 And if Christ be not risen again, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God: because we have given testimony against God, that he hath raised up Christ; whom he hath not raised up, if the dead rise not again.
16 For if the dead rise not again, neither is Christ risen again.
17 And if Christ be not risen again, your faith is vain, for you are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ, are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, the firstfruits of them that sleep:
21 For by a man came death, and by a man the resurrection of the dead.
22 And as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:11-22 DRB
12 And we will not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that are asleep, that you be not sorrowful, even as others who have no hope.
13 For if we believe that Jesus died, and rose again; even so them who have slept through Jesus, will God bring with him. 1 Thessalonians 4:12-13 DRB
4 For we are buried together with him by baptism into death; that as Christ is risen from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also may walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4 DRB
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy hath regenerated us unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead 1Peter 1:3

Jesus now has along with his Mother, a new kind of Supernatural Glorified Flesh and Blood which the Blessed in Heaven will get also at the end of the world.

Dear Michael,

I am lost as to how your post resolves my quandary …

Would you mind elaborating please?

God bless you 🙂

Techno, when Jesus ascended into the clouds, did He actually fly up and up and beyond the physical clouds that you and I see in the sky every day? Is Jesus in the physical heavens, as in somewhere, occupying a space in the sky?
