Call me an Opus Dei nerd.
I can’t remember if I asked you guys about this. Have you heard of First Things Magazine? An Opus Dei supernumerary invited me to a meeting of the ROFTERS at the Study Center. Apparently, ROFTERS stands for Readers of First Things (ROFTers). The description from the website: “First Things is published by The Institute on Religion and Public Life, an interreligious, nonpartisan research and education institute whose purpose is to advance a religiously informed public philosophy for the ordering of society.” Past and present contributors include the late Fr. Richard John Neuhaus, Mary Ann Glendon, George Weigel, and Michael Novak, among others. Sounds like an impressive group of writers.
