If this virus mutates and mutates, that may very well be the case. We don’t know how things will pan out in the near future. 2021 will see a very dark winter in more ways than one.

Bold mine.

We don’t know how things will pan out
in the far future either.

Like I said:

PERMANENT.

To everybody else: There is no “science” or “public health” reason to
use Government FORCE against people
to “mask-up” that have had corona virus and recovered.

There are about ten to twelve million of them (depending on your source).

This is not public health.

It is about POWER for power’s sake, virtue signalling, psychology, and superstition.

Exactly, everything Biden is proposing is already being done under Trump and or the Chief Executive’s of the respective States - the governors - which is as it should be.

Except Trump does the “do as I say, not as I do” thing right before he changes his mind as to what we should do.

Not sure what you are trying to say really …As far as Covid response and providing federal assistance Trump has really done a very good job … the nit picking and nay sayers in the Media and politicians aside …

And I can say that as someone who has started and owned a business in the private sector, served in the military and held positions at three levels of government [Federal, State and County] … I know how the various levels of responsibility and work and the limits within which they operate …

Thus we probably have different experiences, knowledge and - yes - opinions … but I have provided response in various ‘emergencies’ … some more routine than others - some very unique …

Nothing Biden has said he would do is any different than what Trump has and is doing … not one thing …

Trump says of course people should wear a mask and social distance. Then doesn’t. And then says well, I don’t know if all that stuff helps.

Fauci - who said stay home [no work, shopping, school, or entertainment] and - yes - people should NEVER shake hands ever again … ]

and in the same week said if

Two strangers connect over the internet and want to have meet up and have intimate sex relations with each other [Mind you - this means that one or both of them have to leave the houses they were just told not to leave because of a pandemic AND they would have to be far more physical with each other than merely shaking hands which Fauci said should never be done post pandemic] well sure they can do that - they just need to assess their own feelings about personal risk and then if they decide its worth the risk - go ahead …

You got that - Trump is bad because he said wear a mask but did not always do so …
Fauci good because he said casual sex during a pandemic is okay - it was the approved you can leave your house for - putting others and your self at risk - but its sex between two strangers that connected on grindr or whatever - JUst assess your risk - The doctor [scientist] stamp of approval …

In summary - Work? no … Shaking hands? no … School? no … Dining out? no … Casual stranger/stranger sex - 👍

I guess the doctor could not say …" Its a pandemic - what part of stay home dont you understand?"

Doctors used to say smoking was good for you. Then they changed. Does that mean they are now wrong or does it mean they have more information?

Sorry, changing ones position when situations change and there is either more information or more supplies is a smart thing and should be applauded. After all, to bring in everyone’s favorite subject, people applaud Trump for changing his position on abortion. It’s a good thing.

I dont believe this was ever the case - generally speaking … perhaps a quack or two

Cigarettes were called “Coffin Nails” in the late 1800s … and this was pre-WWi and mostly pre-WWII where smoking became a more regular habit where prior to that smoking was not in the pack a day - 2 packs a day habit …

The dangers of smoking and impacts became more and more evident as more and more of the populace indulged and became addicted and as life expectancy increased … but in reality they were known long before … hence the moniker “Coffin Nails”

Fauci has never backed off on some of his public health statements.

No more shaking hands. Ever. (paraphrase from Fauci.)

Hook ups? Yeah it’s OK as long as you are willing to accept the risks. (paraphrase from Fauci.)

These statements are so contradictory to one another, that they speak for themslves about how “darkened” Fauci’s intellect is.

But you can think whatever you want.

You don’t have to believe it. You don’t have to believe anything you don’t want to believe. That is the wonderful thing about most of the world, you can believe whatever you want to believe about anything. That is the way American society is going so why should any of us be different.

Edited to add the following.

However, you seem to be missing my point. As we grow in knowledge, our approaches to things should change. We know that washing a wound with clean water and soap is better than using dirty water and no soap. We know texting while driving leads to accidents. We, as a society and as individuals (if we are smart) change our behavior because of additional knowledge.
