It is true that there is an interdict issued by the dioceses of San Bernardino and Los Angeles . But an interdict is only an a diocesian level. The BNP movement has been accepted and supported by other dioceses and bishops. Just recently Bishop Anthony Devotta concelebrated a Mass at the
BNP Cultural and Arts center marking the BNP’s 25th year in the
United States. For every diocese that the BNP is the subject of an interdict, I can name places where the BNP is accepted. These interdicts grew out of some misconceptions and misinterpretation of the BNP and what it is.

Personally, I’d like to see a list of the dioceses where BNP is interdicted/banned.

As to the interdict , the BNP is in good company . If you read the history of the Catholic church , Padre PIo , Saint Bernadette and Mother Teresa of Calcutta were also subjects of interdicts.
And please , I am not comparing the BNP and its members to these holy people , I am just pointing out that at one time , the
Catholic church did not support them fully.

I apologize I was reading another letter from the Roger Cardinal
Mahoney , i grant you that the word banned is in the letter from
the Archdiocese of San Bernardino .
That being said please read what interdicts are , they can be personal , local and general .
A personal interdict like Padre Pio’s was issued to stop him from
celebrating Holy Mass … St. Bernadette’ and Mother Teresa were also personal interdicts that prohibited them from doing an act. An interdict will prohibit a person(s) from recieving any sacraments if he or she continues to practice what the diocese
considers as irregular or improper.
But an interdict only applies at a diocesian level. So , if the the BNP is interdicted in LA or San Bernardino. the bishops or priests
from other dioceses can and have celebrated Mass for the
BNP faithful ( every Sunday) . By the way the Orders of the society of Jesus and the Franciscans were also at one time a subject of interdicts.
So also has France ( the whole country was under interdict )

I have personally read and reread the Book of Mormon and I can tell you there concept of GOD is totally different from the Christian
ideal of GOD. The end result of their practice is not to be closer to GOD , but to become a god yourself . So please do not compare the BNP with the Mormon faith …

I know that the BNP movement is hard to understand but given time the entire truth will come out.

There’s the C word again . You forget that the early Christian Church began as a cult. 2000 years ago the early Catholic Church sprouted from a group that would fit today’s definition of a cult to a tee. This comment just paints everything with broad brush. The BNP membership is mostly made up of practicing Catholics . We have chapters in Asia , Europe, and America.
Everything is transparent . Everyone and anyone is welcome.

We do not expect everyone to accept us or the BNP movement,but please reserve judgement until at least you have
seen what we are, who we are,and what we do.

A bishop once told me that I should just stay where I am ( in the BNP ) . He said if it ( the BNP ) is for God , then it will last , if it is not for God then it will wither away,

For forty years since the BNP’s foundation, it has not only lasted but prospered . This , I know is only through the unmerited graces of God and with His help the BNP will continue its mission
of spreading the Good News of the redemptive sacrifice of the
Son of Man .

I’m still ignorant in many teachings of the catholic faith and my poor high school education makes it difficult for me to express in writing what’s in my heart and mind, maybe we could sort things out if we meet. But I request proofs from your statements.

I want to know these because I’m very concerned of my family who are active in BNP.

Can you name and prove dioceses which support the BNP? Do these dioceses believe that Ate Salve has the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit or are they aware of it?

I have heard about BNP, attended one of their celebration and have discussed and talked about it with other members and former members. This is my own opinion:

1. BNP had been questioned by the Catholic Church who is this Inkong and told them that if they believe that God is a Triune God, The Father, The son and the Holy Spirit. They said that there is one that is greater than the Father which is their Inkong (Grandfather). If BNP does not believe in the Triune God, then they cannot say that
   “We conduct retreat classes and other activities to promote the beliefs and doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church.” The doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Not with the Grandfather “Inkong”.

This is one of the reason why BNP was condemned a cult by different Diocese and Archdiocese in California.

1. I have heard from former BNP members that this organization force members to give/donate even beyond their financial capabilities…even using credit cards in order to satisfy the order from Ate Salve. They also found out through their own research that these funds are being used on others than what was announced as the project where the funds will be used. They found out that Ate Salve has a mansion in Cavite where her children lives luxuriously (all of her children never work). But she is saying that this mansion is where the homeless are living. Visit Cavite and you will know.

I do hope that those BNP members who follow Ate Salve’s command blindly would have their eye opened and come back to our Catholic faith soon.

IF you have any questions about the BNP , then the best source for answers are your own family . If you are concerned abouth them like you say , then you should have an open and frank conversation with them , this is the way to resolve
this rather than this thread .

That being said , please do not blaspheme by raising the possbility of a fourth god. The Nicene creed which is said every Sunday and Holy days of Obligation , states that there is a TRIUNE GOD.
AS to Ate Salve’s marriage ( note that I
say marriage ) it was done in a Catholic Church and sacramentally blessed . Please do not use the word remarriage. If you know what an annulment is then you will know why I choose my words carefully.

As to her being wealthy . Ate Salve is the Chairperson of the BNP , a registered non-profit entity which has some valuable
real estate holdings. The BNP owns the BNP House of prayer and
the CAC. Some people have confused this position with her own assets. That’s like saying that His Eminence Roger Cardinal Mahoney is the richest man in Los Angeles ,because as Cardinal he controls the real estate holdings of the archdiocese of Los Angeles.

If you want proof of Cardinals and Bishops supporting the BNP , that is the easiest request you made. Just ask you family for the Programme and Ad Book for the BNP Silver Jubilee, in there you
will see signed facsimile letlers from a Cardinal , 3 bishops , and
3 Monsignors and several priests that show their support and
their belief in the BNP movement.

Any other questions you may have are better off being answered by your family.

The onlyother proof I can offer is the change and transformation in the lives of the members of the BNP community. Dysfunctional families have become whole again . Husbands and wives reconcile. Sons and daughters are more respectful to their parents. These changes only come through the graces of GOD.

If you have any other questions as to who Mahal Na Ingkong is, then you have an open invitation from me to attend the next retreat class.

Please provide some , I personally know Ate Salve’s children and
grand-children and I can tell you they are some of the hardest working people I know. So your statements are obviously false.

I use this thread to let the whole world know about what BNP is about. My opinion is that it had turned into business because of the strong need of the members in fund raising for Ate Salve.

The retreat which I truly believe is good however was used as the first step to attract members. If I only knew nine years ago when my children were in the vulnerable age of 16 and 17 when they joined the BNP. I had believed BNP then, even I was warned by people who had heard about the BNP and the members who left. However, over the years I noticed from my children that they revere Ate Salve as a deity because they believe that she has the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit.

The people reading this thread will make their own conclusions and opinions about BNP. I suggest to you not to tell me what I SHOULD write in this thread. You are not in charge here and as the other person stated, “a faceless name in the internet with a vested interest” for the BNP. The moderator will tell me, not you.

I am not being sensitive or judgemental , I have tried without
being high-handed to answer your questions.
First of all , ingkong in Tagalog , does not just mean grandfather.
It is also a synonym for a old learned man , a village elder perhaps a father figure for the entire community. Mahal Na Ingkong can be translated to mean a Beloved Father .

It is blasphemy to suggest that there is a Fouth Person in the
Trinity because the Trinity is part of the dogma of the Catholic Church, which means you have to believe in the Trinity to be Catholic.

I am not limiting your access to this thread , I have never told you to stop posting , have I ? I only suggest that you get your facts right and I have not used any foul language or expletives , have I ?

Please do not disparage a person’s reputation with your choice of words. Fornication is a mortal sin, it is basically sex outside of marriage. If you want to know more about annulments , I suggest you read the Code of Canon Law .
An annulment simply restores a person(s) to the state before he or she was sacramentally married. If an annulment is granted it dissolves the sacramental marriage.You write like you think annulments are a bad thing. Annulments are granted every day in every diocese in the world. The children of an annulled marriage are legitimized either automatically or by adoption , depending on the laws of the land . A person who has a writ of annulment from the Church is considered to be single and can therefore marry according to his or her choice.
Ate Salve’s previous marriage was annuled and therefore she was free to marry . You can write the diocese of LA for her marriage cerificate , which was signed and attested to to by the parish priest.

The BNP does have fund-raising activities, all the activities are voluntary and since the BNP is a duly registered non-profit organization in California, then we are allowed by law to conduct
legal and legitimate fund-raisers.

If you are burdened with a lot of guilt in your journey towards GOD, may I suggest you take advantage of the sacrament of reconciliation. I go every week and I tell you it lifts my spirits up everytime.

Please do not judge the BNP movement with the second hand information and a little contact you’ve had with it. After all , our Lord , Jesus Christ , ate , talked and interacted with the Apostles for three years before they were told what they were supposed to do and what their mission was going to be. It took the apostles
that long to realize who Jesus was .

Judge us by our fruits and our actions, not by what other people have told you.
On a personal note, I do not have a high intellect, only a good Catholic education.

About Ate Salve’s marriages do you think most people will agree with your explanation? She had two marriages, the first one was annulled so she can be free to marry again which she did?

Your statement about Ate Salve’s experience is inconsistent from what I learned, observed and I witnessed during Holy Week in Ontario, California last year. I saw and heard what she said. After that long talk, she acted like a representation of Jesus when coming to the congregation who all bowed and adored her while she was waving her hand giving her blessings. I was there and told to remove my shoes because we are now on Holy Ground, to keep my head bowed and not to look at her.

During our way home, my family asked me what I taught occurred. I said to them, “I’m sorry, she is an IMPOSTOR, a FAKE”.

Now, I fear for my family’s safety from the BNP. You have many members and my family are still active because they still believe her. I will do everything to get them back to the true catholic faith and I found this site as a good step.

My family even told me that in the fullness of time ATE SALVE will be recognized as the NEXT SAINT.

A 15-year devout member who left your movement told me that before he left, Ate Salve told him that, “the holy spirit is already here, (meaning she) why are you leaving”.

To me, BNP DOES NOT BRING FAMILY TOGETHER BUT SEPARATES THEM. THE CHILDREN ALSO LEARN TO LIE. There had been many weekends and even regular days during those nine years that they rather be with Ate Salve (in Ontario) than with their parents. They even had to skip many classes because the events occur during school. During Ate Salve’s last birthday, my youngest child tried so hard to convince me to let him go to LA to visit a friend. He said his brothers will drop him off since they are going to celebrate Ate Salve’s birthday. He knows I don’t allow him to go to Ate Salve while his parents still support him. He had to miss a day’s class. Later, he told me he went to Ate Salve.I became very jealous with this BNP. (May I suggest, to BNP to limit the events during school year. They are very involved in fund raising activities and in recruiting. My children are taking longer time to graduate.)

This is my experience with the BNP, I tried truthfully as I can. I’m sure believer112 will have so many contradictions.

Your statement about Ate Salve’s experience is inconsistent from what I learned, observed and I witnessed during Holy Week in Ontario, California last year. I saw and heard what she said. After that long talk, she acted like a representation of Jesus when coming to the congregation who all bowed and adored her while she was waving her hand giving her blessings. I was there and told to remove my shoes because we are now on Holy Ground, to keep my head bowed and not to look at her.

During our way home, my family asked me what I taught occurred. I said to them, “I’m sorry, she is an IMPOSTOR, a FAKE”.

Now, I fear for my family’s safety from the BNP. You have many members and my family are still active because they still believe her. I will do everything to get them back to the true catholic faith and I found this site as a good step.

My family even told me that in the fullness of time ATE SALVE will be recognized as the NEXT SAINT.

A 15-year devout member who left your movement told me that before he left, Ate Salve told him that, “the holy spirit is already here, (meaning she) why are you leaving”.

To me, BNP DOES NOT BRING FAMILY TOGETHER BUT SEPARATES THEM. THE CHILDREN ALSO LEARN TO LIE. There had been many weekends and even regular days during those nine years that they rather be with Ate Salve (in Ontario) than with their parents. They even had to skip many classes because the events occur during school. During Ate Salve’s last birthday, my youngest child tried so hard to convince me to let him go to LA to visit a friend. He said his brothers will drop him off since they are going to celebrate Ate Salve’s birthday. He knows I don’t allow him to go to Ate Salve while his parents still support him. He had to miss a day’s class. Later, he told me he went to Ate Salve.I became very jealous with this BNP. (May I suggest, to BNP to limit the events during school year. They are very involved in fund raising activities and in recruiting. My children are taking longer time to graduate.)

This is my experience with the BNP, I tried truthfully as I can. I’m sure believer112 will have so many contradictions.

Let me get this straight, in a previous statement you said that your children joined or became BNP members when they were 16 and 17 nine years ago. Using simple arithmetic, that would make them 25 and 26 yrs. old now . That would make them adults ,and out of school ( unless they pursuing a college degree) , As adults they should be able to choose their own path to GOD. As adults , they have their own lives to live and you shouldn’t be living it for them. I see your problem more as you wanting to control your children in their adult lives rather than a problem with the BNP. I think you are blaming the BNP because for some reason your children spend more time in the BNP activities than with you. My only conclusion is your children must be missing something at home . Why else would they spurn your advice and
go to the BNP activities rather than spend time with their parents.

Your writings suggest that you reside in the Bay Area . You need to ask yourself why would your children go away for the weekend , spend money to drive to Ontario and back , just to attend the BNP activities ? Could it be that they found something
more valuable and fulfilling ? Could it be that they found something that could change their lives for the better?

You say you attended a BNP event. Did you see any brainwashing equipment? Was there any coercion applied ?

I have 3 children who are still active members of the BNP. The first 2 joined while they were at their vulnerable age of 16 and 17 (juveniles) in 1999. They were in junior and senior high at that time. My third son joined when he was 15. If I only, knew that BNP was a cult, banned by the church, and there was a woman who morphs to make these children believe the presence of God, I could have stopped then.

Yes, I had problems raising my children after over 20 years of service fighting to maintain freedom of this great country. I was away from them a lot due to the long deployments. There were many times I came home that they have not even recognized me. It took about a week before they feel at ease with me. In the military, the country is more important than your family.

I had spoken to the pastor in our parish and he told me he also have copies of the ban from the Bishop in LA and Cardinal Sin. You stated Cardinal Sin had rescinded it but you have no proof.

When I came with my children as a guest to the BNP compound in Ontario last year, the interview that I went through was a sign of your psychological influence (coercion) in the children:

You seem to have a lot of unresolved issues with your children. You have a lot of misdirected anger against the BNP which by your previous posts has done nothing but welcome you to its activities. I will no longer participate in a thread that has devolved to name calling and insults. My main concern was the obvious lies and half-thruths that you posted against the BNP. But you seem to want to repeat the same lies and mistakes as though repeating them will make them true.

The last command that our Lord, Jesus Christ gave to his Apostles was to love one another as He had loved them.
This is the basis of Christian charity and forgiveness. If you think that your brother ,sister, son or daughter has been somehow misled , wouldn’t it be better to show a little bit of Christrian charity rather than to condenm them? After all , Jesus forgave Peter for betraying him.

You raised the topic of the retreat classes , ultreyas ,and vigils as being secret and somehow sinister .
Nothing is further from the truth . The BNP conducts retreat classes on a regular basis, How can they be underground if the retreat schedules are posted in a bulletin board where everyone entering the House of prayer can see the schedule. If you want to attend an ultreya , just drive to Ontario on Tuesday nights and
find a seat at the CAC( Cultural and Arts Center) . Everyone is welcome.
The same is true with the vigil adoration every Friday.

You seem to have a lot of anger and hatred in you. Please let go of these emotions as they can be bad for your physical , mental and spiritual health. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
