I believe I am far from being accused of being prejudice. Prejudice is judging from the outside. I was an insider. I used to be BNP. I have witnessed all of this.
Yes, there is something Spiritually special about the congregation. I don’t deny that. You yourself are so touched to the point of spreading the BNP thing to others. Sure.
My only issue was the Mockery, that was all. Faith is such a fragile thing to some people. And if you build something prominent upon a foundation that has vulnerability in the smallest scale, in this case God’s favorite song (as I refer to my other post) or a lady dressed up like the Black Nazarene walking around with big cross speaking in deep female voice with a huge Filipino accent to boot, portraying herself as Holy Spirit Incarnate, or frankly Jesus, the faith is as stable as a house of cards.
It will shatter.
I would compare the money collecting process as a solicitation as shady as, let’s say, an AmWay consultant luring you into buying stuff forever from them. Or perhaps young teens visiting your homes selling their “final sale” that will bring them to a vacation glory of some sort. BNP uses partly guilt (contribute for this retreat the way others contributed for you or else), partly coersion of the family sense (your family sucks for not giving money), and frankly bullying (you better contribute or else you’re not going to the next event).
You are able to speak as though everything is hunky dory because you are aware that there are people who are not part of BNP yet and are reading this. You are luring them into false curiosity (the way the Devil does in most cases) through vague explanations, brusing off of questionable facts, playign devli’s advocate, and YOU JUDGING ME (quite a hypocrite you are, if you will).
For anyone who stumbled upon this, BNP worships a god who TOLD THEM THAT hE HAS A FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SONG. So there, that’s your foundation. A god speaks to them through a lady who dresses up as Jesus from time to time carrying a cross and speaking in a deep female voice with a thick Filipino accent. If you can’t trust them with these, how can you trust them with anything else?
They are a mockery of OUR Faith.
