I don’t think she could take it, no. Texas is one of the last big conservative strongholds in the country…to say it’ll be an uphill battle for her is an understatement.

I just hate the very idea. I think it’s galling that she even has the nerve to run. She should crawl back under what slimy rock she lives beneath.

Interesting article about demographics. Truly the Democrats must use identity politics to win. They don’t have the issues. Other than the “glamour” surrounding Ms Davis appearance and her crusade to abort unborn children when they are viable, what distinguishes her? Has she any accomplishments in elected office or career?

I’m not voting for her. Just hope we haven’t let too many of those Californians in. We Texans definitely need to secure the border from those libs. 😃

Okay. Time for Texas to vote her the hell out.
She will be giving up her state rep seat to be an “also ran”. People in Texas hate her. Even her FB page is mostly people telling her off.

On the plus side, there’s a strong conservative contender for the State Senate seat Wendy is vacating. 👍

I don’t think she’d win now but nothing is for sure. Let us make sure we are ready to show why she is a poor choice.

A democrat consultant is appearing to argue that Wendy Davies could win in Texas and that Greg Abbott is the one with the extreme view on abortion

Wendy Davies supports abortion being available longer into gestation than most European countries. She has the extreme view on abortion, not Greg Abbott. I bet Wendy Davies probably won’t use the word ‘abortion,’ in her campaign, she will use language like ‘reproductive rights’ to appear more moderate.

Cook Partisan Voting Index says Texas is republican plus 10, I still do not get how she could win.

Because she believes her own B.S. Her pink shoes filibuster and violent demonstrations gained support of the Beltway, the Left and the Hollywood glitterati. She raised a lot of money. But even somewhat sympathetic reporters note that not only is Texas not the kind of state where she could win, but that she’s a weak candidate with a weird voice and a simpering countenance. This is not what you think about when you think a Texas woman.

Her problem will be that people in Hollywood won’t be voting in Texas - unless Holder has his way.

Yep that was what the reporter said…no matter how many millions she gets from the abortion fanatics, they don’t live in Texas and can’t vote. She ought to move to New York or California where she’d be more mainstream.

You do indeed! Can we also thank you for Hillary’s rise to power 🙂 ? Honestly though you have nothing on California. I love this quote regarding the female politicians in Califnornia:

California columnist Burt Prelutsky: "I don’t know what it is about California, but we seem to have a strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office. I’m not bragging, you understand, but no other state, including Maine, even comes close. When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington, we’re number one. There’s no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, and Maxine Waters, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on 'Macbeth.

Particularly disturbing is that they are all outspoken on abortion. No wonder people are fleeing that crazy state in droves and moving to Texas. I just hope they don’t ruin it as they ruined the once Golden State

Texas Republicans passed a sweeping bill that would effectively shut down most abortion clinics in the state after the state’s lieutenant governor suspended a one-woman filibuster against the hotly contested measure.
The Republican-controlled House voted for the bill while hundreds of protesters screamed from the gallery. Reporters and Democrats saw the voting begin after midnight, but Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst said it began just before.

PRAISE THE LORD!!! IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A TEXAN!!!
Is it basically Republicans who are pro-life in this country? Where are the pro-life Democrats and if there are any, why are they silent? I know that the most pro-abortion Congressman ever in the history of the USA, was a Roman Catholic priest and Democrat, Father Drinan. And as far as I know, he was not excommunicated, even though he voted 100% for abortion rights.

Lisa, it appears that columnist has never been up north to Washington state. Patty Murray could give any one of the California women a run for their money. Maria Cant(vote)well is a close second. But Murray probably counts for two - such is the routine inanity of her comments. When Chris Gregoire was governor - it was quite the threesome.

Yes, the Democrats have made abortion rights, homosexual agenda and hedonism their sacred rituals. The few “pro life” Democrats betrayed the movement by agreeing to vote for Obamacare with a useless executive order that was supposed to protect against taxpayer funded abortion. Many of them were tossed out by angry constituents leaving only the far Leftists representing the Democrats. At the Dem convention last year, abortion was celebrated and one former Congressman who tried to get a group of Pro Life Democrats together had FOUR only who were interested among the many hundreds at the event.

If you are a Catholic I do not know how you can vote for a Democrat. This is the party of death now. Between their rabid support of contraception, abortion, and homosexual unions they should become extinct in a few decades…one can hope
