What McFaul ignores is the funding that Obama secured for the Iranian regime.
You should read more of his feeds to have a better insight into what he does or does not ignore.
This were better, now they are worse.

Trump will reprise his work with NAFTA:
  • worse things ever
  • must be abandoned
  • renegotiate something much the same
  • declare great victory
  • rely on the conned 42% to go to the polls

The contempt of liberals for the “irredeemables”, “bitter clingers”, “smelly Walmart shoppers” is pretty obvious since they can’t seem to keep themselves from telling the truth on themselves now and then.

But appreciating the DOW at 28,700 is not being a “moron”. It’s being “wealthier”.

Maybe part of that 42% are farmers who have been hurt by Trump interventionist trade policies.

Talking about a large section of the country as if they’re morons
That is fair. Not all of those who support Trump believe him. Indeed, there are a number of folk who mentioned that he should not be believed a bout bombing antiquities. On the other hand, they are far outnumbered by those who bought the con on NAFTA, and trends in the economy. We will see what people make of Trump’s call to a new nuclear treaty with Iran.

I realize there are those who think that. But farm prices for most commodities are pretty much in the mid-range; neither wonderful nor catastrophic; a little higher than historically.

Farm prices are determined by a lot of things, mostly weather. A few years ago prices on just about everything were very high because of widespread drought. Good for those who had the product or insurance, bad for everybody else.

Exports don’t actually affect prices very much because most farm products are fungible and simply flow into the “world supply”.

Then why did Trump sign a $16B farm bailout bill this summer? A little socialism for his voters, then.

I haven’t studied the bill, so I couldn’t say. But if it’s like most “farm bailout” bills, getting anything under it probably requires some kind of catastrophic condition that’s unlikely for most.

Which is not to say I approve of most farm aid programs. Some come very close to being something I would support, but few actually do.

So, it’s just a giveaway to Trump supporters.

Sixteen billion isn’t a whole lot. Obama gave Iran ten times that much.

But again, while it might be a gift in some way, it might simply be a “safety net” combined with a few other programs somebody in congress wanted, like research or educational programs.

Nobody on here has yet told us what the bill really does, and perhaps nobody will. But I’m guessing it’s like most farm aid; some kind of catastrophic condition thing.

Iran Commander “Vows to take harsher action against the US”. What are they waiting for? The resolution of war powers from their comrade?
