I realize there are those who think that. But farm prices for most commodities are pretty much in the mid-range; neither wonderful nor catastrophic; a little higher than historically.Maybe part of that 42% are farmers who have been hurt by Trump interventionist trade policies.

Farm prices are determined by a lot of things, mostly weather. A few years ago prices on just about everything were very high because of widespread drought. Good for those who had the product or insurance, bad for everybody else.
Exports don’t actually affect prices very much because most farm products are fungible and simply flow into the “world supply”.
