I am keeping you in my prayers, mom. You are going through much suffering and I have no doubt that man souls have been saved because of it. God bless you, my sister in Christ…you always manage to say a beautiful prayer or words of encouragement to others, even in your pain. You are an inspiration.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Friends:
I don’t think I will make it to Mass this a.m. Actually, I KNOW I won’t. I am in extreme pain. I have had this horrible mirgraine for 5/6 days now and have been in bed with it the whole time. My intestinal problems are causing great distress also. The latest med. is not working. I am disappointed. The med. for migraine is not working; I am disappointed. I just had a root canal and it hurt like all get-out. I am disappointed. I believe my body has become very sensitized to pain. At least that’s what neurologists say. I do not like to whine about my condition. I am only asking for prayers that I am to “carry on” in this world - somewhat. I remember when I used to be healthy, happier, able-bodied to jump at the chance to go pray for others, or help at the schools/church, etc. Now, I am reduced to nothing. My cross is heavy. Only your prayers will keep me going. DH is not helpful. He doesn’t like me. Doesn’t like my being sick, being in bed, being a nothing. Pray for him, too. God bless you all. I pray for each of you daily. Thank you, dear friends…

Praying for your recovery and your husband. Will pray for you at Mass this morning.

:gopray: Father God, we continue to pray for Mom4Truth. We pray for continued endurance and strength. We pray that you would continue to bring peace and devotion to You in her heart. We pray for her husband, bring about a change in his heart and a move toward compassion. We praise You Lord and thank you for all you have done. May The blessed Mother pray for us all.

Dear Mom4Truth,

I am praying for you. God loves you and is with you. Praying from your bed is more productive than most people`s daily activity so please do not feel like you are worth less because you are not working in an office. Your prayers are so valuable.

I hope you will experience some relief from your pain as you carry this difficult and heavy cross.

Hugs,

Maria1212

Keeping you in prayer, mom.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Heavenly Father, who cannot bear to have even one hair on the head of His children hurt, lay your healing hands on Mom, that she may again be well; hear our prayers Lord, and bring peace to Mom and her husband.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus we place all our trust in Thee.

I thank all of you who have prayed for me today! I CANNOT stress enough how much your prayers keep me going in this life. Thanks be to God for all of you! God bless you. You will be in my rosary tonite since I could not attend Mass. God have mercy on me.

Dear Mom,
I am praying for you. Remember that your suffering could be helping your husband in his conversion. Dont ever think you are nothing. God wants you where you are for the time. Considering the amount of people on earth, and how little most people pray, count yourself as specially chosen by God to be immobile and to spend your day in prayer making up for the millions in the world that would not say one word to God in their lifetime.
Mom, read if you can. Belle suggested I read the diary of Sr. Faustina and it is absolutely beautiful. It is so inspiring and helps you to keep focused on what really matters on this earth.
I will be praying for you Mom.
God bless

I heard once that Christ shares his cross with his closest friends. May God give you the strength to carry the cross he has given you.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that one one who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly to you, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To you do I come; before you I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitons, but in your mercy hear and answer them. Amen.

:signofcross:

Thank you for that. I needed to hear that today. I have read the Diary of Faustina, but it was a long time ago. I think I should start reading again, huh? Thank you for you prayers and for all the prayers of everyone here at CAF. I pray for you all. God bless.

Mom, know that the Gracious Lord is allowing you to begin Purgatory in this life, cleansing your soul through suffering. I view Purgatory as pain rather than time, so the suffering in this life means there will be less (or none at all 👍 ) in the next. Offer it all up in solidarity with Christ. How blessed to be in the church which honors suffering and knows its value! Wouldn’t you be apprehensive if you had no suffering all through your life? What would you then be facing?

We are praying for you!

Christ’s peace always be with you.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

The Holy Spirit gave life to Christ’s humanity and made him in turn a giver of life. Let us call joyfully on the Lord:
  • Renew all things, Lord, and give them life.
Christ, saviour of the world, king of the new creation, turn our minds towards your kingdom
where you sit at the right hand of the Father.
Lord, you live for ever in your Church.
Through your spirit, lead it forward into truth and faithfulness.
Take pity on those who labour, on the sick and the dying.
Give them strength and endurance.
…

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

O God, through you your faithful are united and of one will.
Grant to your people that they may love what you have taught and desire what you have promised:
in this changeable world may our hearts be fixed on where true joy comes from.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

Hi Mom:wave:

As a young girl I used to work at a retreat center in NY, it was my life:) , I gave all of my highschool years to the service of the Lord. After a couple of years I went through such hard trials out of no where. Suddenly I felt like I had no control of my life, joy left me and I felt rejected by the Lord, which gave me horrible heart ache. One good friday I locked myself in the bathroom and cried alone inside a towel for hours. I repeatedly told the Lord " You left me", " You abandoned me" etc. On easter sunday I dragged myself to mass alone, at the end of the mass one of the senior members of the church saw me and when he approached me, he held my hands and with tears running down his eyes said…“I was here at the easter vigil and as I was doing eucaristic adoration, the Lord presented you to me. I could see you inside the Host crying and the Lord repeated, tell her that I love her, tell her that she is my rose.” I was speachless because no one in the community knew about my trials, I had kept them to myself. I lived in New Jersey and everyone knew that I spent most of my weekends at the retreat house in NY. My life changed that day, I still carry heavy crosses and as a human I still complaint some to the Lord. But I know His ear is closer to us than what we think and that gives me inner peace.
Mom he must hold you high in His heart, because He is putting you in that oven right know, knowing that you will come out on the other end as the finest gold. Is not easy being in the hot seat, while we watch other people live care free, but eternity awaits us with such blessings…AND FOREVER!!!😃 😃 😃

I believe what you posted. It does make it easier knowing that our Catholic faith includes redemptive suffering which other faiths do not. I would be in total despair if I did not have that belief to hang on to. However, as much I believe it and know it, it is still difficult. But I am trusting in the Lord (though I do get ticked off at Him now and then). I have a lot of people praying for me and that is what keeps me going - people like you and all the rest here at CAF. God bless you, and thanks for the boost!🙂

Mom, I think about you often and I remember to pray for you each time I do.
Remember, YOU are one of the special ones!
God must love you very much. We just need to learn to love suffering (although easier said than done!)
But Sr. Faustina grew to love it and would suffer anything God wished her too for the sake of souls.
I think you have a part to play in the salvation of souls, so I will pray for you and ask God to help you bear it. You have so much to contend with but God never gives us more than we can bear.
God bless you, you are a strong and faith filled lady and good will come of it all, you’ll see!
God bless!

Careful there, getting ticked off at the Lord! Jacob wrestled with the Lord and lost! Had a bad limp ever after, and that was merciful punishment. Next time you visit a new physician, pay attention to the forms you fill out. Notice all of the boxes that you DO NOT check regarding conditions you now have or have had in the past. As many as you check, there are so many more that you leave empty. Don’t allow your suffering to eclipse the many blessings you have.

Christ’s peace.

Maybe I got bad advice, but my parish priest told me it was o.k. to mad at the Lord. I think “frustration” may be a better word…no, it’s mad, sometimes…well, I do my best at keeping that under control. I know I have many blessings. I recite them to myself aloud. AND - I have YOU to remind me!!😃

You got great advice. Just don’t make a habit of it! 👍
