Not really.
Then there’s the case of the first lady saying she was “gypped” now that one did surprise me, as the word is a slur against the Roma. Much the way some used to use the ‘n’ word and ‘rigged’ (which I despise the word btw) to describe in a derogatory way how something was fixed.

I’m not usually on the PC bandwagon, but there’s common politeness too.

My issue though really is they’re being faulted for that. Apparently, these people don’t know what it’s like to be left out of a trend and see drops in the sales report as a result.

Considering this particular Buger King is located in SanFransisco,seems more like preaching to the choir,than a marketing ploy.

You know, my local BK, does fundraisers for my kids Catholic School twice yearly. A certain day, a percentage of the take in goes to the school.

It hasn’t been on the national news.

Because I doubt that there are people complaining about it.

I doubt that gays are all up in arms that BK is helping Catholics and their wicked agenda.

Depends on where you are, and if they have even heard about it. Doing something for the right reason is a lot different than doing the wrong thing even for what seems a good reason. Seems like they are the ones discriminating against all the other young kids who want to go to college. God Bless, Memaw

Thankfully it wasn’t the Jr Whopper they were abusing, cause that would just be sick. :eek:

If we try to boycott every company that supports something against our beliefs, we would have to live under a rock somewhere without any modern amenities, including toilet paper.

I partly agree with that part of it, as I said in the earlier post (BK helping GLBT and not non-GLBT).

But, I try to say to myself, the situation with GLBT youth is unusual because some of them get cut off from support because they’e GLBT.

I know I would have been kicked out immediately when I was 18 if I were GLBT. My mother hated gays.

Burger king has 13,000 franchises in 91 countries. I fail to see why I should be concerned about what a single franchise in San Francisco did.

Except if you were gay and your mom hated them, you could have always remained “in the closet” and you would have gotten helped.

This is where I personally hate when people try to relate “gay rights” with minority rights. Gay people can simply keep their sexuality private and be ok and live their life without people comitting violence toward them. A minority such as myself gets judged right from the get go, simply because of how I look. I can’t keep my race private like how gays can keep their sexuality private.

So NO, gays dont need specialized rights because they can choose not to be discriminated against, unlike people who actually do need protection due to something they cannot hide. They are not the same.

What Ive learned is that gays love playing the victim card. Lets get real, its 2014 and gays are more celebrated than veterans these days. They arent victims and they need to get over it asap.

They are still using the BK name. Can I franchise a BK that has a combo deal with a Big Daddy Whopper, a Whopper, and a Whopper Jr in support of Traditional Family? That seems to contradict the corporation’s beliefs as a whole, so Im guessing Id be denied.

…except for the fact that, without being open to their parents, they’ll just date people of the same sex in college. And even though they aren’t telling mom and dad, if mom or dad surprise visits them on campus and sees pictures of his/her boyfriend/girlfriend, they’ll immediately suspend help at that point. What you’re suggesting is that gays and lesbians should completely lie to everyone about what their attractions are, and that if they don’t, the parents are justified in removing all financial aid. Seems like solid, Catholic advice, clearly :rolleyes:.

Only in America can heterosexuals make out in a park without being accused of “shoving your orientation in our face” but homosexuals holding hands or saying “you know what, I’m attracted to this person.” elicits that reaction.
