The Word did not become flesh to correct the supposed mistakes and deviations in Judaism after the alleged corruption of the Jewish Bible. You Muslims mistakenly presume that Mohammad came 600 years after Christ to tell people the truth about Jesus and His teachings. This is ridiculous!

Moses and the prophets came first: Time of the promises and preparation for the Savior Messiah.

Incarnation took place: Time of the fulfillment of the promises and accomplishment of salvation in the Messiah.

There were plenty of prophets from Moses to John the Baptist, each adding another piece of the puzzle (.e.g the covenant with David for the Messiah). If you read the Bible, you would see that.

I am greatly amused by Planten’s assertion that he is a Christian and Jew thanks to the great praise that Islam apparently demands that he show Moses and Jesus (of course, forgetting that Islam says that the past prophets were Muslims, so it’s not really an act of outreach or connection to the other Abrahamic faiths at all). Please…if all that was required from a Christian is praise of Jesus while putting a man (Muhammad, yourself, etc) ahead of Him, then much more of the world would be considered practicing Christians!

Sorry, Planten, but you are not a Christian unless you believe in Christ’s divinity. If you believe in that, then you need to get baptized in His Church. If not, then keep your Muhammad/Big black stone/Arab supremacist-worshipping out of the true religion (Christianity) and stop making silly claims to a religious heritage that you do not have.

p.s. - Back on topic (sort of, not really): I spent most of last Sunday at the local “Glendi International Food Festival” (20 years and counting!) sponsored by St. Seraphim’s Orthodox Church. There were many Arabs there alongside Serbians, Macedonians, Russians, Greeks, and many, many Eritreans. I swear, it was like Little Asmara over there! It was a great time. 🙂

I recommend that you read it yourself.

In the Qur’an, Allah has mentioned in three places stories of people who were turned into apes and pigs. Almighty Allah says:

And ye know of those of you who broke the Sabbath, how We said unto them: Be ye apes, despised and hated!

(Al-Baqarah 2:65).

He also says: [Shall I tell thee of a worse (case) than theirs for retribution with Allah?

Worse (is the case of him) whom Allah hath cursed, him on whom His wrath hath fallen!

Worse is he of whose sort Allah hath turned some to apes and swine, and who serveth idols. Such are in worse plight and further astray from the plain road]

(Al-Ma’idah 5:60).

In another chapter, He says:

So when they took pride in that which they had been forbidden, We said unto them: Be ye apes despised and loathed!

(Al-A`raf 7:166).

In these verses, you will see that that a group of people refused to follow Allah’s commands that were given to Moses.

They had turned against Allah’s laws and were punished by being turned into apes and pigs.
