Under Trump’s tax plan, the wealthy bracket were taxed BIG TIME and the middle class saved and the lower didn’t pay any at all.

how can anyone with a conscious vote for a Democrat?

In my case, in the local elections that count the most for my and my family’s quality of life, if I did not vote for a Democrat, I would have voted for no one, and that isn’t good either.

I can make my pro-life stance known and work to change the culture of society regarding life issues. What I will not do is nothing, and that is what happens when you vote on one issue instead of looking at the big picture.

You seriously do not know what you are talking about. I am a construction union member. Have been for almost 7 years. Am i too new to understand? My foreman is 55 and supports Trump. Hes been in the union for decades. Our lead man is 52 and has been union for decades too. I Have many co workers who are conservatives and support Trump.

What we have in common is that we have old fashioned values. We believe the Republicans are more for the working man then democrats. We don’t want to pay more taxes. We will donate to the charities of our choices instead. We don’t want to support candidates that think it is okay to abort babies. Ill vote my union out of existence before i vote for pro abortion candidates. We understand fully why we support Trump and it is not why you think we do

Where else is one supposed to get news and opinion? The solution is to consume reliable media and try to get a balanced view of the issues.

Pretty much, but probably to a point on the spectrum is it safe to be Democrat. If you completely accept every Democratic policy then it would be damaging both to your faith and your devotion as some of their policies do not align with that of the higher law (God’s)

I don’t know many folks who completely accept every single part of their party’s platform. It’s always a compromise finding the one that more closely matches your beliefs.

At the end of the day the democrats even at local levels are all controlled. It couldn’t be more obvious what their agenda is. It’s really disturbing.

I have a close friend who is a democrat though so I shouldn’t have said that about conscience. He’s a dear friend and i know he has a conscience. My apologies for being dramatic with the conscience comment.

It’s really sad that . . . people . . . say he’s racist when he’s done more good for black people than ANY other President in our lifetime. Why would you want to spread . . . errors . . . when he’s done so much good?

He just refused to federally fund universities that allow and/or support antisemitism, so he’s not anti Semitic.

He supports the people of Iran - mostly Muslims, so he’s not Islamophobic. The travel bans on some Muslim countries was put in place by Obama for our safety. If we can’t figure out who people are or why they’re coming here with the help of their country’s embassy in a reasonable amount of time then we deem travelers from there as unsafe. No one said Obama was Islamophobic and he placed travel bans on more Muslim nations than Trump has!

Trump . . . supported “gay marriage” LONG before Obama and Hillary did, so no, he’s not homophobic either. . . . So it’s hard to say he hates homosexuals by secular standards.

As a Christian, you should stop spreading . . . errors. You don’t have to like the President, of course, but it’s REALLY uncool to perpetuate such absurd . . . myths. . . .

True. But Obama did try to force religious orders, including the Little Sisters of the Poor, to provide abortifacients to their employees and themselves. That’s a very serious intrusion on religious freedom and, to me at least, is one indication of what voting Dem means.

You really need to stop putting entire groups of people in one basket. There are women who are gold-diggers and will offer sexual favors to rich and powerful men. There are also women who are not gold diggers, just trying to launch a career and who have been victimized by rich and powerful men. What should be highly offensive to the women who are truly victimized, are the women who contribute to these men’s sense of entitlement to sex whenever they want by offering sexual favors so easily because of their money and power.

Personally, I wouldn’t vote for any candidate who is pro-abortion if there is a pro-life choice. Because it is the preeminent issue for Catholics, that is the first issue I look at when deciding for whom to vote. If, and only if, both viable candidates are either pro-abortion or pro-life, I will look at where they fall on other issues and make a choice based on which comes closest to Catholic teaching and what I prudentially think is the best course of action in helping to advance those issues in the right direction.

Note-I’m a pragmatist. I will not vote for a person, no matter how perfectly aligned with where I fall on the issues, if they have no hope of winning an election. I understand wanting to vote for the ideal but my ideals aren’t going to advance an inch if the candidate is not viable. IMO, it is simply not a good exercise of the virtue of prudence, given the reality of the circumstances in which we have to operate in the present moment, to vote for the ideal candidate when they have no hope of winning and risk that the least ideal candidate will win and move us further away from the direction we want to go.

Looks good on paper but I have concerns about implementation. Some of the ideas on there are very broad and would require me to have a sit down with the writter before I could take it serious.

Forget Democrat and Republican. Both are corrupt. Both are evil. Look up the American Solidarity Party.

Weeeeeeeeell… your country is a melting pot of political parties with a first past the post system that can be overrided by the electoral college. As much as these alt parties are interesting the maths says they can never get anywhere.
