Yes. And you avoided answering it. (Altho I have no idea how that question has anything to do with what we have been discussing.)
Anyway, if you don’t know, here is what Scripture says:
John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world, now shall the ruler of this world be cast out;
John 14:30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me;
John 16:11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

And you also avoided answering my question about why you said " “No where did God or Jesus say you will inherit heaven.” when you claimed (in your Post #54) to know the beatitudes very well.

Now, it’s very late here in the Midwest and I’m off to bed. Any further questions will have to wait till tomorrow before I’ll get around to answering them. Perhaps someone else will jump in and take over before then.
Goodnight.:sleep:
I did not avoid any questions. I asked you first who is the ruler of the world and you answered my question to you with a question.Then you gave me 3 passages from John while still not answering my question. When you answer my question then we can begin, and then I can respond to your question about why I said what I said,as this is the basis for what I said.

???I did answer your question. I gave you the Scripture passages where Jesus tells us who the ruler of this world is. That is my answer. Jesus is saying Satan is the ruler of this world.

But for the life of me I can’t see how that connects with the topic of this thread – whether a soul can function without a body.
I see you’re very new to the forum, so you probably don’t know that one of the rules of CAF is that threads are supposed to stay on topic. The thread can get closed down if it keeps going off-topic. People click on a thread because the title indicates it’s something they’re interested in. It can be frustrating then when they click on it and the discussion has nothing to do with the published topic and opening post. Hope that explains why I’ve mentioned not straying from the thread topic.

Because you asked me a different question about the Beatitudes and inheriting the kingdom of Heaven. Right Satan is the ruler of the world and the righteous will inherit the kingdom of heaven as per Matthew 5:11 What Jesus was talking about here was the righteous would inherit the kingdom of heaven here on earth. Just as Jesus gave us his prayer " thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The kingdom of heaven is God’s ruler ship to come down on judgement day when Jesus throws Satan into the Abyss for a thousand years and restores God’s Kingdom on a paradise earth as was his original plan for humankind until Adam rebelled and sin entered the world.

On this thread, we’ll just have to agree to disagree on that whole topic.
