My point is you have to form your conscience properly, not that it means you HAVE to vote for any one party or defend it. And I will say to you that just because someone votes D or R doesn’t mean they are obligated to defend whatever the party does.

There was plenty of money moving around in Germany between WWI and WWII. So much in fact that people used wheelbarrows instead of wallets to move it around. Yet their economy was still in terrible shape.

Hey, lots of money was moving around though, and that is supposed to good for the economy according to the poster in question. It is not my fault that he failed to attach the appropriate qualifiers.
 
Good point, and in democrat circles there is very little room for disagreement.

When I worked for a fortune 100 company eight years ago, I used to lunch with a group of friends. I never will forget one person, who did not realize I tend to be on the conservative side of things said “If I found out a friend was a republican, he would no long be my friend.” This was when McCain was running. True to his word, he found out, and that was it, he would not speak, unfriended me, the whole 9 yards.

I was reading this and then I realized that it was way outdated when I came to this statement:
“There are several things to be said about this. First, with the staggering increase in abortion in less than 20 years, other issues, important as they are, are secondary to this direct taking of human life.

It has not been updated since it was penned in 1989 or earlier. The number of abortions peeked out at in 1990 and it has been on steady downward trend since then.

Please don’t post links to articles that have data in them that is no longer true.

I think the Democratic takeover of the education of our children is helping to advance acceptance of abortion, transgender acceptance, etc. it would imply that God made a mistake when that person was created. As an alcoholic in recovery I am convinced that, although I didn’t CHOOSE this disease, God has made it possible for me to overcome it, one day at a time. Who’s to say people aren’t given other problems as a way to develop their relationship with the Creator? But our kids are being taught that whatever the problem is we MUST accept it or that it’s somehow not Christian to renounce it. Even if this were the only reason I could come up with (and believe me, it’s not) I would have to reject the Democratic Party and it’s agenda.

I’m sure. But the number of abortions will continue to climb because overall population climbs.

This is the reason you should measure macroscopic data in per capita or ratio amounts.

A nation with 100 murders in a population of 1,000 people is a far FAR more dangerous nation to live in than a nation with 1,000 murders in a population of 1,000,000.

I see half full as progress is being made.
 
I wonder if he realizes what he did is the very definition of bigotry.

To add insult to injury, he’s probably one of those people who go around calling people bigots erroneously simply because they hold different opinions from him.

Good golly, hypocrisy is infuriating.
