So are you saying that the whole rest of the world at that time then heard the gospel, received it and was saved or just those who possibly repented to God before dying from the flood and so had gone to Abraham’s bosom?
There’s Nothing in the OT or NT suggesting or implying that:
Jesus’ Gospel was taught to those in the Pre-Flood Days (aka It was not)
Which in turn precludes any possible repentance with regard TO the Gospel…
Those (the entire world of People - barring Noah and the 7 with Noah) who died during the Flood,
were sent to “Abraham’s Bosom” - never heard Jesus’ Gospel
Which is why when Jesus went to all those (again, not Noah and company) in Abraham’s Bosom,
He gave them the opportunity to Hear His Gospel -
We
might surmise - that gave everyone
there - the
opportunity to Repent …
PRE - FLOOD
… So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of cypress wood
The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits. 21 Every living thing that moved on land perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. (Total of 8 persons)
Post Crucifixion
He Jesus - was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water
For this is the reason the Gospel was Preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.
JESUS - in Answer to those who inquired re: His Return.
JESUS says: 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Apostles Creed: Abridged:
I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
