Five myths about the Honduran caravan debunked

Hopefully this puts to rest some of the misinformation and conspiracy theories.
NBC speaks and The People listen.

I suppose that might be true in some possible world, but not in this, the real, one. šŸ¤”

Given recent stats on trustworthiness, the NBC article will ā€œput to restā€¦ the misinformation and conspiracy theoriesā€ for about 3% of the American population.

Refer to page 13ā€¦

Perhaps the news media should not have worked so hard to undermine its own credibility over the past couple of years.

But congratulations on achieving a 3% standing. You are one of a select few who still trust NBC News.

That should count for something. šŸ˜‰

The timing is what made the AH tape as well as this caravan suspicious. Why now?
Why now? Good question. Polls had been indicating that Democrats might win the House, and suddenly thereā€™s this perfect Trump-base-rousing issue presented to him on a silver platter for campaigning in the last weeks before the mid-terms.Todayā€™s

Why now, indeed.

417 hours - - how many days would this take for people to walk this? How is it that they all started walking together at the same time? Where are they getting food / water / bathrooms / medical care?
So many questionsā€¦

Iā€™ve seen homeless people in my library with more baggage than this. People are just bringing a tiny backpack? Where is their food? Clothing? Etc?

Where is their food?
Imagine the line! It reminds me of ending up at a fast-food restaurant five minutes after the baseball/football/soccer team arrived after their gameā€¦ šŸ™‚

I used to go to an anime convention. We would be in the downtown area of a major city, and there was a food court that catered to office workers. Most of the restaurants were closed, because office workers didnā€™t come in on the weekends. The few that were openā€” our convention ate every scrap of food in a five-block radius. It took a few years for them to adjust to having thousands of people descend upon them on a certain weekend.

I drive through the-middle-of-nowhere all the time. Towns that only have a population of 1,000-2,000 donā€™t have a whole lot of options for eating, and donā€™t keep a lot of extra food on handā€¦

There definitely is some degree of planning in play, to get that number of people enough meals to have the energy to make that kind of a trekā€¦

So your thesis is that Trump or some entity favouring him and the Republicans have orchestrated this march to make him look good shortly before the midterms?

šŸ¤”

That is worth considering.

The problem, as Victor Davis Hanson points out, is that there have been no less than five major fumbles by the Democrats over the past several weeks.
After all, somehow the Democrats had managed all at once to 1) lose the vote on Kavanaugh; 2) to ensure that the Bushite Kavanaugh likely would become so radicalized by the horrific treatment meted out that he would not follow the usual David Souter liberalizing trajectory, 3) unite Republicans and more or less end the Never Trump factionalism, 4) go on record of opposing due process of law and rejecting the entire political and cultural tradition of American jurisprudence, and 5) so discredit their opposition to a court nominee, that next time around everything they do and say about a nominee will be seen as mere go-through-the-motions leftist boilerplate.

That would entail that virtually every visible Democrat ā€“ Holder, Booker, Waters, Clinton, Blumenthal, Harris, Ellison, Pelosi, and Warren ā€“ are all surreptitiously working to elect Trump.

Yeah, no. There is a clear pattern here.

The incompetence and wolfish political behaviour that you see, is the incompetence and wolfish behavior that you will get. Vote prudentially on Nov 6th.

It seems to me that a good portion of the people understand whatā€™s going on here, but there are a lot of other sneaky things done by the bad guys that donā€™t seem to hurt them in the polls. Presumably, thatā€™s because the Democrats, Leftist media, and Hollywood all work together on advancing their agenda through their colluded narratives.
Because the Left has so much power in their open-borders messaging, I thought Iā€™d recommend some radio shows (some on Sirius Channel 125, or locally) that are hosted by patriotic Conservatives that are available for free on itunes: Mark Levin (who took time off recently to care for his dying father), Buck Sexton, Laura Ingraham, Dana Loesch, Glenn Beck, and Jay Sekulow. These hosts are fearless, and theyā€™ll say truths that the puppets in the Leftist media are scared to death of ever saying.

I think Trump funneled money to encourage them to come to help give him a talking point for why building a wall is necessary. I donā€™t have any evidence of this, but I also donā€™t have any less than all the other conspiracy theorists, so Iā€™m sticking by that!

Illegal immigrants who donā€™t even try to obey our laws are most likely not deserving of American citizenship. Very disrespectful to America.

Look at those golden arches! Clearly McDonaldā€™s is using the fabulous wealth (seriously, golden arches) to fund this!

Iā€™m saying that IF itā€™s a setup, you have to look at who would benefit.
Thatā€™s clearly Trump and the Republicans.

Of course, thereā€™s always the more reasonable scenario, that itā€™s not a setup . . .

JMO, but I donā€™t think all these people have evil intent. Iā€™m sure some do, but I think many have been misled into thinking that they will be welcomed into the U.S and handed the modern equivalent of 40 acres and a mule, and free health care, too.

So sad.

I think that we need more people in the U.S. to amp up our dwindling population, so I wish that all these people could be processed by experienced professionals, and those who make it through the processing (non-criminals or non-terrorists) could be admitted into the U.S. on a temporary Visa and taken to cities that need the workers and that have churches and civic organizations who are ready to welcome and qualified to help the immigrants to assimilate into the country and eventually become full-fledged U.S. citizens.

Those who live paycheck-to-paycheck should recognize that American taxpayers pay $130,000,000,000 to $200,000,000,000 for illegal immigrants each year.

A coyote was charging nearly $8000 to take people from Honduras. That is a lot. Either they sell all they have or pay the rest when they start working elsewhere.
The caravan must be a solution for many of them instead of coyotes. That is my assumption.,Angelā€¦
Reading what people in the caravan say,one realizes many have little to no idea as what to expect along the way,but anything rather than remaining. Those are some of the brief interviews . They do not either sleep nor eat well and sometimes remain wet due to the rain.
This is some of what people say.

I suspect that many of the people in these oppressed countries have the idea that the U.S. is like Disneylandā€“everythingā€™s free and thereā€™s plenty of everything.

Have you ever seen a movie (animated, Don Bluth) called An American Tail? Itā€™s about a family of mice who immigrate to America. Before they get here, they sing a song that goes, ā€œAnd there are no cats in America, and the streets are made of cheese.ā€ Great song, and I think it captures the mindset of many who immigrate (legally and illegally) to the U.S.

Itā€™s a good move, and the most famous song from it is the beautiful ā€œSomewhere Out There.ā€ I highly recommend it for children, but be carefulā€“there ARE cats in the movie and they want to eat those mice!

Really? You forgot to include the Clintonā€™s who are also taking over the world. You also forgot those people who support global warming, anyone who speaks Spanish, the legions of 3-4 million illegal voters, internationalists, people embarrassed and disgusted by childish tweets, and those who hate misogyny.

America is the greatest country in the world, but immigrants should come here legally, and once here legally, they should be expected to work (and contribute their skills) for a living, just like most American citizens.

By the way, if the Democratic Party was REALLY concerned about the integrity of our Elections, then they would agree to Voter ID requirements. But, then it wouldnā€™t be as easy for them to get away with getting illegal immigrants to have their votes counted for them.
