Unfortunately. I found it poorly written, intellectually vapid, and profoundly disingenuous.

One thing, he supports and uphold’s Catholic Teaching on marriage and sexuality.

His goal, as Jesus and Pope Francis, is to call sinners to repentance and into the fold.

Jim
He certainly does not! He claims that Catholic teaching must be “received by the people” in order to be authoritative, and he also claims that the notion that “LGBT” people (in case you didn’t know before, you will learn from the book that sexuality wholly defines one’s identity) are called to life-long celibacy has not been “received” by the faithful, so it can therefore be dismissed.

His goal is not to call sinners! His goal is to strike the word “sinner” from the lexicon in the name of “respect” and “compassion”.

Do. Not. Let. Yourself. Be. Deceived.

Hey, me too! I guess that makes us a “hate group.” 😀🤓🖐️:fist_right::fist_left::crazy_face:

It’s really tiresome, this constant business of how Jesus and Pope Francis are on the same page…because the real meaning is, John Paul and especially Benedict weren’t.

That’s your interpretation.

No one said St John Paul or Pope Benedict were not on Jesus side.

Pope Francis just happens to be the current Pope which is why I mention him.

Yes…and it’s just coincidence that we hear so often these days of how Christ-like Francis is. Don’t really recall much of that in the days of Benedict.

Archbishop Cupich says that he would not deny Communion to politicians who promote abortion, nor would he deny Communion to sexually-active unmarried or gay couples, if they reached their decision “in good conscience”.
So if you reach your decision in good conscience, it is OK to have pre-marital sex? It is difficult to believe that he teaches such. Do you have a reference for this?

Oh, you’re gonna love Martin’s book. He does this exact same double talk dance on every page. You’re in for a treat!

Exactly. It’s all incredibly disingenuous. It’s creeping incrementalism, designed to normalize perversion. In this case, gay sex.

Is that being said just people can feel better about voting Democrat for selfish reasons?

A just person doesn’t worry about how they feel. And they usually aren’t selfish. Why would you say this?

May I ask why you find it difficult to believe?

And where did you get your " sure" from?
This is a shower of articles. We do not learn by showering. If it were the case the more leaflets at the door the better.
Please ,pick one that best reflects what Archbishop Cupich said,in your opinion.

No surprise here that one who does not unequivocally uphold Catholic teaching invites another who does not unequivocally uphold Catholic teaching.
Well, I guess CAF is going to allow bishop bashing now just like the other “Catholic” sites like Lifesitenews.

Like Pope Bergoglio
Isn’t this a common way to insult Pope Francis on “Catholic” sites like Lifesitenews? Don’t call him Pope Francis, but call him by his last name as a sign of disrespect.
