I think gun ownership is a very cultural issue in the US. That’s why many Australians and probably people outside the US don’t understand what the big deal is about.
It would appear that gun ownership is a very practical issue in most free societies.WSJ - Strict gun laws in Great Britain and Australia haven’t made their people noticeably safer, nor have they prevented massacres.
