You know, it strikes me that we should of how the Christians lived during the first few centuries in Rome. They lived among Pagans and they endured living in a culture that was not unlike our own. No matter who wins, the nation will continue its drive toward a deepening Paganism…
There is a lot of truth to that. However, one needs to also realize that leadership sometimes is the driver, not the follower, of that paganism. Think 20 years ago, or even ten. Who would have supposed then that the Little Sisters of the Poor would be prosecuted by the government for not providing abortifacients to themselves or their workers? Who would have thought homosexual marriage would be imposed on the whole country and that the government would be in the forefront of the cause? Who would have thought the government would file lawsuits against states that act to prevent men from going into womens’ restrooms or dressing rooms?

It’s shameful that so many people allow themselves to be led into the blasé acceptance of evil by political and cultural leaders, but it was probably true back in ancient Rome just as it is now.

One can not morally vote for, or advocate for an evil.

Voting for Trump is not voting for the lesser of two evils.
It is voting to limit evil, which is morally acceptable…

(Hillary is sure to appoint pro-abortion judges to the SC and federal judge-ships, Trump has vowed to appoint conservative judges).

I will hold my nose and vote for Trump because he is the only candidate who has a reasonable chance of getting elected… who might limit the slaughter of unborn children.

Well? I myself am in a strange place as a Republican who hates Trump.
I too am a conservative Republican who does not agree with Trump. I thought the way he ran his campaign and mercilessly attacked Ted Cruz, who was by far the best candidate of the bunch in my opinion, was despicable. Now he’s showing his true colors in trying to reach out to Bernie Sanders supporters. I had a tough enough time holding my nose to vote for McCain and Romney because they were truly the lesser of two evils. I think this time around Trump and Hilary are both evil so what’s a concerned l, conciencess voter to do? 🤷

I voted for Trump but I keep hoping a third candidate, one that is absolutely wonderful, will appear before November.

My hope too. Need a miracle if ever we needed anything. No kidding, hey? 😦

Thanks for voting. I didn’t include Sanders because I wanted it to reflect the almost assured general election.
