This is true, however…your viewpoint is overly simplistic and strictly self-agrandizing in nature…which means that you have essentially determined that the rest of the Bible is essentially meaningless, nay?

Yes I have done those devotions, however…the words “prayer meeting” have never been used.

OSAS is a “man-made tradition” that flies in the face of the realities of the Bible…just as Sola Scriptura is. No sale, sorry. You cannot “split hairs” and claim that one passage or two grants you a free pass…nice try though.

It is just that I see a lot of childlike impudence that is passed off as a “contribution.” with no rhyme, reason, or rationale. Nor any real willingness to understand the point with which certain posters disagree.

Hey brother.
I agree with you… people in here come mostly to debate. Few are ready to listen… maybe one or two percent are willing to change their position if they 1)read with openess 2)decide that it sounds reasonable. However… the statistics go for both Catholics, Evangelicals, Protestants, Jews and Moslems…
There is no admitting to anything among any of these … my take is that its just really difficult also to evalue a post when you dont know the person behind it… At any rate… since I have found myself on the opposite to all these groups on these boards sometime or another I know that they all equally have the “I wont move an inch”- tendency… often I would just call for at least the words “I understand where you are coming from… and I understand your concern, but…” But people cant say that… I am not sure why.
The good experiences I have had I have had in real life… dialog and understanding, especially with Evangelicals and Protestant… now that I find very interesting. What I do is first of all this; I am not afraid to go into their assembly. When I am there and lift my hands with them to worship the Lord and testify to what he has done in my life, bringing me from darkness into light, they do indeed call me sister. And people are much more prone to listen to a sister than to a stranger.
But I know all this is more difficult in America…

Unconfessed deliberate, serious sin?

Perhaps the problem here is that you reject the venial/mortal distinction?

How do you know what my viewpoint is?
You have made an assumption thus you have missed your mark.

I beleive in theory a person can lose their salvation. If you deliberately make a decision to reject God and turn away from Him then salvation is lost.
In practice it is nearly impossible to lose ones salvation. God makes all grace abound so that what is necessary for salvation is always active in a believers life. God does make the circumstances surrounding you to fall in place so you realize your need for Him. God even works to change your will to only thing that truely can make you lose your salvation.
In theory it can be done but in actuallity no way.
God is more than able to keep his sheep and not lose one.
God is more than able to do what He has said He will do.
