For the sake of discussion, let’s say that a business owner wrote the same email, but instead of promoting Romney, he insisted that his workers support Obama or their jobs would be in danger. What if it were your boss that wrote such an email? How would you feel then?
Still don’t care. He’s not threatening to fire people for voting a certain way; he’s saying that he cannot continue to operate if taxes are raised and will have to cut back to survive.

I’d be furious. No more religious liberty AND no job

so how is that not a threat? When he says he will have to cut back, do you think there is any other meaning than-there will be layoffs and one of them might be you so you better vote the way I want you to?

The CEO is telling people not to jump off a cliff and into the abyss. I don’t agree with the way he has emailed his employees however.

He has no way of knowing how his employees voted and thus has no way of firing the ones who voted Obama. Saying there will be layoffs if taxes go up and he can’t afford to keep people is not a threat, it’s reality. My boss told us that if taxes go up, he will have to downsize because his business is being crushed by taxes right now. That’s just how it goes.

I would immediately look for a new job be cause obviously the management will certainly drive the company into the ground.

I have (well, Kerry, not Obama)

Got campaign emails all tree time. Big Kerry signs outside the building. Democratic candidates using us as a background image, etc. Threats about how Bush would droopy the country, force women into burkhas , etc. Even a 9-11 was am inside job email once.

It was their right to do so and if I didn’t like it, I could just find another job. And I had the last laugh when the company was bought, after the election, and the signs were tossed and the most egregious emailers we summarily let go.

So if Romney raises taxes will he do the same thing? Because no Republican has ever raised taxes, right???

Oh wait…(Reagan, Bush)

It is a privately held company. He may do whatever he feels compelled to do. If his bottom line shrinks because of Obama’s tax policies (including the ObamaCare tax burden), he is perfectly within his rights to downsize his company. His employees are free to leave if they do not like his pronouncement or political beliefs.

What you don’t fathom is the company will probably let go most of the full time workers and then rehire them as part time, making sure no one works over 30 hours. This will allow the organization to drop benefits and not be killed with the penalties…… er… taxes for not providing healthcare. How many IRS agents are needed to provide health care? The Demopublicans are so good for the middle class ask Biden.

Darden Restaurants Inc., a huge Obama supporter is doing just that. They did have an exemption from ObamaTax but that runs out soon.

I believe it is the law of unintended consequences.
Or considering the fact that many people claim that Obama is one of the smartest men to ever hold the office of president (not my opinion) perhaps this was the intended consequence all along.

I guess what he defines as “continues to operate.”

There are more than a few CEO’s who have completely gone without their salaries so that their employees can continue working or receiving health care.

THOSE are the heroes. Those are the models for the billionaire CEOs.

These CEO’s are displaying charity as Christ would demmand and they are receiving but temporal and spiritual adulation for it.

I didn’t receive an email…just verbally, and I’m fine with it. I think our jobs will still be here, if Romney is elected. In fact, I bet my boss. Every manager at my office ridicules my support for Romney. I’m used to it.

To bad Obama isn’t one of them.

Your post is not even remotely applicable and your attempt at wit is less than ipressive.

But your joke is noted.

Why not address the Christian obligation of the employer?
