Happy Easter to all, by the way! I’m going to bow out now, and spend time with my family!
Initial attraction is not a definition. It is a phenomena. Like initial left-handedness. That may change and the kid eventually may become right-handed. Not all of them. Some. It’s defined by most people with the initial attraction.
Because it is forced on the kid by uneducated educators, who mistook propagandist utterances for facts. But this might be plain wrong. The kid eventually might be attracted to the opposite sex more.A child who is same-sex attracted in this culture will understand themselves to be “gay” or “bisexual”
I was asked, so I answered. No need for your flippant remark.I’m sure He’s relieved.
You seem to have an understanding no body else in the world can claim. Can you tell us about your research in this field?Initial attraction is not a definition. It is a phenomena. Like initial left-handedness. That may change and the kid eventually may become right-handed. Not all of them. Some.
Unless you’re bisexual, gay people can’t learn to be attracted to the other gender.Initial attraction is not a definition. It is a phenomena. Like initial left-handedness. That may change and the kid eventually may become right-handed. Not all of them. Some.
It doesn’t work that way. You can’t force someone to be straight/gay.Because it is forced on the kid by uneducated educators
Spoken like a true believer! And as Sheen has said, “a lie is a lie even if everyone believes it, and the truth is the truth even though no one believes it.” But then again, anyone defending the direction of society against the guidance of the RCC and its leaders, isn’t going to listen to common sense, regardless of where it comes from.
But then again, lets not let common sense get in the way of one’s prejudice.
And again, that’s not exactly uncommon among those whose “hate” the church and what she teaches.
So you are suggesting if they can pray away the gay then they weren’t gay to start with. But if they can’t then they are gay. What an interesting and novel concept! Then they weren’t gay to begin with. You can’t “pray away the gay” .
You’re on a Catholic forum and you generously offered that you don’t judge God. You fairly begged for that response.gracepoole:![]()

Oh sure. Easy to understand: don’t buy one sided propaganda, even if it comes from mainstream media! You bought this stuff about young kids. But young kids are diverse. Not all of them are acting as you prescribe it for them. Some of them will throw out initial attraction as they grow. You see gays going straight and straights going gay. Both ways. Life is more complicated than the New York Times and Co. editorials would like you to see.Can you tell us about your research in this field?
You know very well the Holy Spirit does not mislead. People err. Are you open to being an Arian Christian?Point is this; the RCC can and has been wrong. And if virtually all non-Catholic Christians and roughly 80-90% of mass-attending Catholics disagree with Church polity on the matter, then there’s an awful lot of folks that the Holy Spirit has mislead!
I was asked if I judge Jesus. I answered no. What is wrong with that? You’re on a Catholic forum and you generously offered that you don’t judge God. You fairly begged for that response.
I don’t believe that gay conversion is possible. There’s plenty of research to back up my belief.Whilst I don’t like your use of “pray away the gay” there are definitely examples of ex-gays who I don’t think even you would doubt that they were gay to start with. They obviously achieved conversion through methods more than just prayer. If you are familiar with this topic you should know about it. If not perhaps you would like to find out more.
Are you are that there are clergy on all sides that claim the Spirit?Vonsalza:![]()

I can claim to be Queen Elizabeth II. There are clergy that claim Planned Parenthood is sacred space! Are you are that there are clergy on all sides that claim the Spirit?

Truth =/= Popularity contest
If 90% of Christians deny the divinity of Jesus, then Jesus is just a mere enlightened teacher?
If 90% of Christians deny the existence of hell, then there’s no hell?
I don’t think you’re right here. Ergo any subsequent conclusion inherits the problems of its premises.Since the majority of (western) Christians today believe homosexuality is OK,
Spoken like a true Catholic-in-name-only liberal…Spoken like a true believer! Unfortunately, there are devoted folks such as yourself that are a part of every single religious system on the planet that are willing to make an identical claim to yours! Everyone has zealots. Everyone.
