Lightfoot’s advisory is advisory, not an enforceable restriction. The state and all states should lock down though.

Balto1 . . .
Lightfoot’s advisory is advisory, not an enforceable restriction
I’m sure that will sooth the people who were jailed for earlier advisory transgressions.

I’ll tell 'em Balto1 reassured me this is not enforceable if I ever see them.

People from the articles you posted violated lawful orders from the governor, not advisories from the mayor. Lightfoot’s advisory is not enforceable. Try to understand the facts before spreading misinformation.

. . . The stay-at-home advisory is not an order, but a recommendation to residents to avoid leaving their homes for anything other than going to work or school, or to get essential medical care, groceries or take-out. The city said to avoid non-essential or out-of-state travel, and not to gather with anyone outside of their household, “even with trusted family or friends.”

Chicago will, however, be able to fine residents who host more than six non-household members in private residences. . . .
Bold mine.

Some “recomendation”.

.

Try to understand the facts before spreading misinformation Balto1.

Yes, Chicago can fine people who have too many guests since the health department gave that order in July. This is a thread about Lightfoot’s November advisory. Again, please learn the facts before spreading misinformation.

I think at this point you need to link to support your claims.

.

I am OK with these claims, but I want to see them backed up.

I have done that.

You have not Balto1.

Not
Chicago HAS BEEN, however, been able to fine residents who host more than six non-household members in private residences. . . .

So the Lightfoot “advisory” is a null set? That’s what you are trying to say?
Because there hasn’t really been any change in Chicago then.

Then Lightfoot’s “suggestion” is irrelevant because they are ALREADY restricting extended family gatherings in these manners. (So WHY would she make this “advisory” if it is already being done?)

They have been essentially locked down the whole time according to the order you referenced.

Which brings up the question of . . . .

. . . . . WHY Illinois is doing so lousy if masks, social distancing, and quarantining healthy people is so “effective”?

Earlier you said . . . .
California wasn’t locked down which is why it’s seeing an increase in cases.
Aside from the fact that CA WAS locked down (at least to some extent), Illinois has been locked down since July according to your reference.

So WHY do you think Illinois is doing so poorly despite all these Government-mandated restrictions if Government-mandated restrictions will deliver us?

Your reference also stated . . . .
“Gathering” means a group of individuals outside a single household who are part of a spontaneous or planned event and are interacting within six feet of one another for more than ten minutes
Do you think Lori Lightfoot should be fined or arrested for participating in Democrat celebrations Balto1? They were clearly not social distancing. Lightfoot was there. It was all on video.

Lightfoot clearly violated this order participating in the Biden celebration . . . .
( c ) A grouping of people: (1) located outdoors; (2) for a meeting at which participants will be sitting, standing, or otherwise remaining stationary for ten minutes or more; (3) the total of all people at the meeting is limited to 100; and (4) each person or household is separated from each other person or household by a minimum of six feet.
So should she be arrested? Fined? Or should this from last July now only pertain to families getting together on Thanksgiving? Or something else? What do you think?

.

Balto1 . . .

City of Chicago . . . .
SECTION 6.In addition to any other penalty provided by law, any person who violates this Order shall be subject to arrest, and to the fines set forth in Section 2-112-340 of the Code.
So you are now admitting you can be arrested for these violations,
but it stems not from Lightfoot’s “suggestions” correct?

It just always was in Chicago, at least since July? Right?

Nepperhan on an issue Nepperhan raised . . . .
Let’s deal with issues instead of scoring points.
So you did not bring up a valid “issue”? (You were the one that brought it up. Not me.)

Or is that an “issue” but you’d rather not address it?

Or something else?
