Organizers of the protest at the one CfA in New York City expect a turnout of 150 to 200 straight and gay participants.

Wonder why there’s only one CfA in NYC? Because New Yorkers know what good food tastes like and have so many choices as to where to get superb food. That’s why CfA, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and the like don’t do well there. Why get franchised “food” when you can get the real thing? My mouth waters for a few slices of real NY pizza right now followed by spumoni or Italian ice or gelato from Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn. 😃

Apologies to Christine: Italian food “on the Hill” is pretty da**ed good! 🙂
I’ll bet restaurants on The Hill are a lot cheaper than those in NYC.

I cannot tolerate anyone who is on my left…you should see me in traffic.
You should have seen Vespa drivers in Saigon. They changed lanes with the “Magic Hand.” They wanted to go left? A hand would wave towards the left, then they’d change lanes or turn left instantly, protected, of course, by that Magic Hand. Same when wanting to go right. 😃

With all the Italians in NYC? I’d say that there are pricey ones and affordable ones in both cities. There’s a cutoff point below which you’re going to be served garbage, and another price point where you’ve got to take out a loan to pay for supper. (Does Tony’s sound familiar? 😃 )

Have you ever seen what happens when a Vespa meets a Suburban?

Better still - what happens when a Vespa meets a tank. No Suburbans back in '67. It was all the worse for the Vespa back then.
Yes there were.
My uncle had one. We called it the green monster.
It had a 400 V8 and only 4 doors (one drivers side, 2 passenger side, and a back door.)

It was shocking how fast that thing could move.

Unless you mean 1867. How old are you?

Eternal rest grant unto them oh Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

So earlier you were complaining about the terribly unhealthy food Chick Fil a serves, but it’s OK to eat pizza and gelato because it’s not from a franchise?

You won’t be marrying a man but New Jersey does allow a same-sex union.
I don’t understand what you mean; you seem certain that I’m not going to get married. (?)
As the law is now, I can’t legally marry in New Jersey, so I will probably have to marry in New York if New Jersey’s laws regarding marriage aren’t fixed in time.

I’m not an attorney myself, but as a layperson, I was under the impression that they constantly drill a witness on the stand in hopes of pointing out inconsistencies in their testimonies to show…, to show…, umm…, something.

God bless you, Arkeaus. I’m glad you aren’t full of hate and support the free exercise of the 1st Amendment on both sides. I do hope you dig deeper and consider God’s plan for your life, but I wish you well. I hope you have some chicken, as well, because man can not live on Oreos alone. 🙂
Not sure if you’re being sarcastic, because it’s difficult to tell through the internet, but for what it’s worth, I support the first amendment in its entirety. Just as some Christians have decided not to purchase Oreos, I don’t feel comfortable spending money at an establishment that I know donates money to causes that I feel are atrocious. I don’t want to come off as hateful…

Thank you for your well wishes, but just as it would seem silly for a Muslim to tell you that they wished you would return to Allah, I kinda feel the same way when you wish I would turn to God. As a former Catholic, I understand your concern, however misguided I now feel it is. Again, I’m not going to disrupt my life for a God I don’t believe in.

It is no more hateful than Dan Truett saying that he is pro-traditional family.

For the lawyers out there. Let’s simplify the question.

What are the size of the crowds today (the day of the supposed Gay groups doing their “Kiss In”) compared to those crowds that showed up on Wednesday?
Here there were hundreds of people on Wednesday at lunch time (rumor has it that there were 4000 transactions total that day, can’t confirm). I stopped by the same time today and not one protestor that I could see. Maybe I just missed them 🤷

Hey Rich… 👍

In other words, the number of straight/gay anti-Chick-Fil-A protesters is not nearly going to be on the same level as the pro-Chick-Fil-A protesters.

Ok, get it. 😛

Lucky you 😃

Thanks for the report:thumbsup:

From the stuff I’ve read on the Internet, the majority of protestors will only be in the “big, major cities.”

I don’t expect any here in Augusta, Ga. I’ll ask at my nearest Chick-Fil-A, though. 👍

I can’t speak for the gay population, but I’m going to guess they wouldn’t be caught dead eating a fried chicken sandwich. Too much pride for that.
