I agree about fast food and weight gain. Luckily, I eat handlfuls of Fen Fen and Ephedra to balance it out and stay healthy.
👍

I just hook myself up to a car battery, and the resulting spasms net me 2 hours’ worth of exercise in an easy 10 minutes. I keep a chicken sandwich near my face so that I can keep eating when I wake up and can move my jaw again.

McDonald’s ice cream cones are yummy! Before my mom got sick, I used to pick her up breakfast from McDonald’s when I went to see her in the morning. I will always have a place in my heart for the smell of hash browns in my car.
I luuuuuuurves me some McDonald’s breakfast. Hot cakes and sausage for the win.

Most car batteries are 12 volts, and although they are capable of plenty of current, because of the resistance of your skin, in order to get some sort of effective current going through your body, you would need to find a moist, low resistance area to make your connections. Do you mind if I ask how exactly you make your connections? Do you use needles, clamps, or something else?

Chick-fil-A generally has good iced tea- as long as you get it with half-sweet-half-unsweet.

Now living in NY, there are no Chick-fil-A’s and good iced tea is hard to find.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I exercised just by posting those rolling smileys. I can feel the burn.

I have always loved Chick Fil A and I applaud the president for coming out with this statement, knowing the flak he would get.

There’s nothing wrong with eating at Chic-Fil-A occasionally. I don’t think people are advocating it should be a steady diet or anything, but its great for a treat once in awhile.

Don’t really see how this pertains to the topic either.
Agree.

Also, Chick Fil A is one of the few fast food places that actually has quite a few healthier options. I usually get their chargrilled chicken sandwich or grilled chicken salad. Delicious.

Good of GLAAD and other organizations like them to bully anyone who does not fit into their idea of “acceptance.”

What’s even more silly is that many of the headlines for the articles reporting on this insist on using the word “anti-gay.”

As somebody who worked there briefly about 20 yrs. ago, I can tell you they are NOT “anti-gay.” They ARE “anti-gay marriage” and “anti-normalization of non-traditional, anti-Christian, and anti-natural sexual practices.” 👍

Expect the Hollywood crowd to REALLY come out in support of a boycott. I can see Ellen DeGeneres foaming at the mouth and breathing fire on her show because of this, for instance.
I would pay to see that. 😛

I applaud Chick-Fil-A for standing up for the truth. 👍
Awesome post. 👍

Ed Helms is a marginal actor, so who cares what he boycotts?
It appears to have mattered to the Google Gays that made it one of their top stories. It mattered to ABC also, but no surprise there either. But it may also matter to Chick-Fil-A, as it seems that they are putting the matter on simmer:
**Chick-Fil-A says it’s backing out of gay marriage debate after president’s candid comments **
A post Thursday on the official Chick-Fil-A Facebook page said, 'Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena.'
It does seem to be having some effect:

Mayor Menino on Chick-fil-A: Stuff it**
Vows to block eatery over anti-gay attitude

Mayor Thomas M. Menino is vowing to block Chick-fil-A from bringing its Southern-fried fast-food empire to Boston — possibly to a popular tourist spot just steps from the Freedom Trail — after the family-owned firm’s president suggested gay marriage is “inviting God’s judgment on our nation.”
Opponents can’t stomach Chick-fil-A’s plans in Mountain View

Chick-fil-A’s plans to open a new location in Mountain View have left a bad taste in the mouths of some residents who hope the city council will send the fast-food chain packing, if not for its controversial stance on gay marriage then the impact of the restaurant on its surroundings.
It looks as though they’ve been “anti-Gay” for some time, by the looks of this Wikipedia article, but it’s this last comment from the COO that really hit it home:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chick-fil-A#Support_of_anti-gay_organizations
According to WinShape’s 990 IRS forms, the charity (to which Chick-fil-A has given over $8 million[43]) gave more than $2 million to groups such as Focus on the Family and Eagle Forum between 2003 and 2009, the majority in 2009.[44][45][46]
As for me, I looked up their locations, and found one close by, so I’ll probably make it there Saturday. I can’t go today, because they probably don’t serve fish.

Chik-fil-A always closes on Sunday because of their Christian values. Anybody who will put Jesus before cash has my vote. I’m driving across town right now to get one of their delicious fresh-squeezed lemonades because I want to vote with my dollar for Christian values…Wait, even pagans don’t have homosexual marriage. OK, I just want a lemonade. Maybe Chik-fil-A is so sensitive because of their founder’s effeminate name, S. Truett Cathy? 🙂

It’s PC to be hateful, petty and vindictive in this country, now. 😦

I fear that our beautiful nation is in for some horrible times. Very horrible times, indeed.

The veneer of civilized society is very, very thin and is very easy to break when people’s natural proclivities are covered up with this artificial form of civility called “political correctness”.

The nutritional information I read about CFA’s menu offerings might make you change your mind.
Like most fast food places, they have some pretty unhealthy options. But they have some good ones too.

Ex: Grilled Chicken Sandwich + side salad + diet lemonade is under 400 calories and has only 9g of fat.

(that’s my “go to” CFA meal)

It just goes to show you that you can support the business AND eat healthy. 😉
