If I go to America, I’ll definitely try Chick-Fil-A.
Yes, it is amazing how they are quick to shout homophobic and discrimination. How about this discrimination against Christian. Christianophobia IS REAL.Bottom line: may Mammon have mercy on anybody who does not fully endorse and embrace the homosexual agenda. Because anything less than ringing support will earn the wrath of the public.
Interesting society we live in these days.
From Reuters:
The Muppets are ending their relationship with fast food restaurant chain Chick-Fil-A in a show of support for gay marriage, the creators of the puppet troupe said on Monday.
“The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over fifty years and we have notified Chick-Fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors,” the company said in a statement posted on their official Facebook page.
The Henson company, named after the creator of lovable characters like Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, supplied their Creature Shop Muppet toys to Chick-Fil-A for children’s meal packages but decided to sever ties after recent statements by the fast-food chain’s Chief Executive Dan Cathy.
I guess that relationship included support for gay marriage.Brian Henson, who with his sister Lisa is co-chair and co-chief executive officer of The Jim Henson Company, said, “This new and very important relationship will enable our two companies to combine our respective talents and resources in ways that will fully realize the tremendous potential of the Muppet and Bear franchises. Michael Eisner’s long-standing passion and respect for the Muppets gives me and my family even more confidence in Disney as a partner.”
I never heard of Chick-Fil-A! before; so its a hamburger joint? If I’m ever in the US, I’ll definitely have to make an effort to eat at Chick-Fil-A!
I assume they’re pretty much like MacDonalds(?)
I would say that if you don’t like their food, buy some anyway to support them and give the food to some homeless people. Two-for-one good deedThere is A Chick-Fil-A that opened about 3 miles from my house acouple months ago. I have not eaten there but after hearing this news, I am compelled to try them out. Funny, a friend just told me last week while we were driving by this particular resturant that it is “Christian owned” If I like what I order, maybe they will have my repeat business. It takes guts to say you are opposed to gay marriage these days. And then nobody wants to let you explain why, they just want to spout their own pro-gay lifestlye propeganda as if their opinion counts more than what the Bible and Church tell us about that particular lifestyle, while sometimes still claiming to be Christian. Oh well.
Oh, this has been happening for years, you’re only hearing about it now. They have GRIDS/AIDS-infected muppets and “out” homosexual muppets on some non-US versions of Sesame Street.I’ve got to say that I continue to be deeply, deeply disappointed in Jim Henson Studios after having read this a couple of hours ago, or so.
I loved the Muppets. This news is like patting on a beloved dog or cat, then having it turn around and bite.
I’m glad that I know where Henson’s legacy stands now, but it still feels like a little part of what made my childhood so awesome just died.
It’s odd that Sesame Street isn’t that famous here in the Philippines. o:Oh, this has been happening for years, you’re only hearing about it now. They have GRIDS/AIDS-infected muppets and “out” homosexual muppets on some non-US versions of Sesame Street.
Yeah, though the AIDS-infected muppet was, if I recall, part of the African show in an area where many children are unfortunately, horribly, born with the disease. The muppet in question is supposed to be a kid, yeah?Oh, this has been happening for years, you’re only hearing about it now. Maybe in your generation. In my generation, it is how we learned how to speak EnglishIt’s odd that Sesame Street isn’t that famous here in the Philippines. o:
You have to wonder though if Jim Henson himself would make this decision. He’s not here anymore so we can’t really blame him.I’ve got to say that I continue to be deeply, deeply disappointed in Jim Henson Studios after having read this a couple of hours ago, or so.

Yes, you are correct. o:Maybe in your generation. In my generation, it is how we learned how to speak English![]()
I remember reading a few years ago they were thinking of making Bert and Ernie a gay couple. Can you imagine the perversion? Little kids being exposed to that.I think I am more worried about Bert and Ernie now
But I agree with you
I’m the opposite of a boycotter…I support the positive. On my next trip down to Cali to visit family (August for a memorial, unfortunately), I will be stopping by a Chik-fil-a. Ibpve never tried them before.Found one like 25-30 minutes from the house… the wife and i might have to check’er out.![]()
Jim Henson was a dear talented man. Don’t forget there’s plenty of good Sesame Street did for children back in the 70’s & 80’s (after he passed the show was never the same). I have much love & respect for old school Henson works. BTW, I only stop into fast food joints to use their restrooms. I don’t eat that junk anymore. You have to wonder though if Jim Henson himself would make this decision. He’s not here anymore so we can’t really blame him.
