How your comment relates to anything I said is a mystery to me.Seeker,
Most of us understand, as Catholics, that the world disagrees with us on most issues (are you aware of the recent contraception controversy?).
You have trivialized the matter in an effort to make us feel small - as if this is much ado about nothing and we should just crawl back into our parishes and get over it already. If you would like to live up to your username, I suggest that you truly seek what this controversy is about, and please try to avoid trivializing your brothers’ and sisters’ points of view.
Not to the person with the migraine. To call something “evil” because it gives you migraines is a bit on the silly side.
I am so grateful you found people who are lovnig to support you. I am a heterosexual single woman who recently went through catechism and confirmation. I get the impression from a lot of laity that it’s more acceptable to be sexually immora if you are a straight person … It’s really upsetting to me as sin is sin, and we are all sinners ! As for Disney offering 2-4-1, we are supposed to do good to those who do evil …ALSO KNOWN AS, to cause God’s wrath due to unrepentance. God bless you !How your comment relates to anything I said is a mystery to me.
The only thing I can come up with is that you are upset about the fact that people who disagree with the Catholic position have the same right to boycott, protest and express their opinion as you do. If that is the case, then yes, you might need to hide in the parish so you would only have to encounter people who believe exactly as you do.
Believe me, I have known what Catholic people think about gays for a LONG time. Thankfully, I found a few Catholics who were more willing to show me the love of Christ than their mastery of Church teaching. Through them, I was able to meet a God who loves me as I am, but loves me too much to leave me that way. They led me to a God who made me WANT to change my life and my behavior.
Some have opposed the company’s support of the traditional family. “Well, guilty as charged,” said Cathy when asked about the company’s position.
"We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.
“We operate as a family business … our restaurants are typically led by families; some are single. We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that,” Cathy emphasized.
No mention of Gays specifically. This could be construed as a slam against whores and whoremongers. Why isn’t there a boycott being organized by whores and whoremongers?“We intend to stay the course,” he said. “We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles.”
Or single parents, couples who are shacked up together, single people…all are not traditional familiesThis must be the offending section of the article (click here) in question:

Chick Fil A never donated money to an organization that claimed to cure adulterers.Or single parents, couples who are shacked up together, single people…all are not traditional families![]()
The owner did. He has contributed lots of money to his Church. Like our Church it claims it can cure adultery.Chick Fil A never donated money to an organization that claimed to cure adulterers.
Why is everyone trying to give this guy an out so he can say “gee, I am so sorry, I didn’t mean gay marriage!”. I thought that it was a good thing that he spoke out against gay marriage?
I highly doubt he would claim he wasn’t talking about gay marriage, because that by definition is a non-traditional family.Chick Fil A never donated money to an organization that claimed to cure adulterers.

And just because a person has AIDS doesn’t mean they are homosexual.Luckily it is not a dilemma – you can avoid AIDS & migraines by becoming informed and avoiding things that cause them
And BTW, just because a person get migraines doesn’t mean they are homosexual…
Or that being homosexual causes them migraines (altho I have heard of the migraines occuring after (and perhaps bec of) sex…but it didn’t specify whether it was only homo sex or also sex in a trad marriage)![]()
LOL! That’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever read. What we have here is a typical case of blowhard politicians. Give each one an enema and they’ll shrink down to the size of a hand puppet.
Oh, well that’s easy enough to clear up. You said this, addressing Catholics on this thread:How your comment relates to anything I said is a mystery to me.

The Church can’t, but she teaches that Jesus can.The owner did. He has contributed lots of money to his Church. Like our Church it claims it can cure adultery.
That’s why radical homosexualists coined the term "homophobia’.Does anyone else see a serious persecution coming of those who believe in only traditional marriage?
So this guy has the right to name days? Who gives him that power? I’m going to name 30 July “John Banner Day”. All must do their best to impersonate and pay honour to the man who suffered Nazi aggression and later played one to make people reconcile their lives and have some fun.Mike Huckabee announced August 1st as an official Chik-fil-A day for standing up for their beliefs pubicly…no CFA in my small town but I may drive the 45min to eat at one on that day![]()
Indeed. Anything that doesn’t 100% support the homosexual “lifestyle” is seen as being “anti-gay”. It’s an attitude of “if you’re not with us, you’re against us” that Stalin, Bush, or any other blowhard ideologue would be proud of.From what I’ve read, it does not appear that Chik-Fil-A is rabidly anti-gay. It seems that the company has made favorable comments about traditional families and supported causes for tradiditional families. Such actions violate that fierce pro-gay orthodoxy now ever present, and elicited a reaction against the company.
He took it upon himself. So this guy has the right to name days? Who gives him that power?
