By then it will be too late.Talk is cheap.
The day the cops come to padlock the doors of chicken restaurants and haul their employees off to jail, I’ll care.

Really??? Dear me, I had never heard that!Good - please do. The Church supports traditional marriage as well.
I don’t buy into “The Sky is Falling” fears.By then it will be too late.
And who says we aren’t?Really??? Dear me, I had never heard that!
I would much rather see all this money that is being pushed towards a corporation going into our Churches. Instead of supporting a chicken joint, why aren’t we putting that energy into supporting our Church and the good being done there?
Not likely, looks like the ACLU is not defending Chik-fil-A, instead they are defending the politicians. No surprise here. see: aclu.org/blog/free-speech-lgbt-rights/menino-v-chick-filI assure you that the judge will uphold the 1st Amendment. ACLU lawyers will see to it.![]()

Likewise, we’ll see how long pro-gay “marriage” people shout and yell that Chick Fil-A is vile, once they decide they want some nuggets or a cookies and cream milk shake. We’ll see how long and how vociferous the clamor from Catholics, who are now making Chick-Fil-A their cause célèbre, will last.![]()
I’m sure everyone here is already donating to their Church, but it’s simple math. Give to the church minus what we spend at the fast food joint or skip the fast food joint and give that money to the Church TOO.And who says we aren’t?
I think our bishops have made it very clear that some of our religious rights are being trampled. I agree with them.I don’t buy into “The Sky is Falling” fears.![]()
I might suggest that the posts on this thread indicate that some might not be doing that in deference to a chicken sandwich restaurant’s cause. And who says we aren’t?
Oh, I feel so much better with your assurance that one lawyer will make another lawyer uphold his oath.I assure you that the judge will uphold the 1st Amendment. ACLU lawyers will see to it.![]()

Is a Dairy Queen cone junk food?I’m sure everyone here is already donating to their Church, but it’s simple math. Give to the church minus what we spend at the fast food joins or skip the fast food joint and give that money to the Church TOO.
Err. That’s not an ACLU opinion, but a Comment made by a poster to that site. Not likely, looks like the ACLU is not defending Chik-fil-A, instead they are defending the politicians. No surprise here. see: aclu.org/blog/free-speech-lgbt-rights/menino-v-chick-fil
Some of us do both, and enjoy the food. You can stay fit and healthy and enjoy some of the food at times, and still be generous with the Church. Why would I buy food that is not only unhealthy but soggy and tasteless just to prove a point? Better to take the money I would waste on that and put it in the basket at Mass. Maybe some other Catholics might think about that too.
Are the two mutually exclusive?Really??? Dear me, I had never heard that!

No. It’s mayoral flatulence, and everyone smells it, even we liberals.I think our bishops have made it very clear that some of our religious rights are being trampled. I agree with them.
What the mayors and the alderman have said just underscores that.

Yeah, and you’re sympathy will be worthless, because by then it will be much too late. You can either wake up and care now, or save your tears when problems arise later. No one who saw what some government officials are emboldened to do and realized where they would like to take us frankly wants toe sympathy of someone who said the whole time “you’re just overreacting!”Talk is cheap.

The lawyers on Appellate Courts and the Supreme Court do that all the time to other lawyers.Oh, I feel so much better with your assurance that one lawyer will make another lawyer uphold his oath.
I’m guessing you really haven’t read anything related to this issue, because you keep saying things like “why are you supporting a chicken sandwich” or “Baptist chicken sandwiches aren’t sacramental” etc.I might suggest that the posts on this thread indicate that some might not be doing that in deference to a chicken sandwich restaurant’s cause.![]()
So you have sworn off all restaurants? Why don’t I cook my own food and donate more to my Church? That way I know my money will be supporting Catholic causes.
