Really??? Dear me, I had never heard that! 😉

I would much rather see all this money that is being pushed towards a corporation going into our Churches. Instead of supporting a chicken joint, why aren’t we putting that energy into supporting our Church and the good being done there?

Likewise, we’ll see how long pro-gay “marriage” people shout and yell that Chick Fil-A is vile, once they decide they want some nuggets or a cookies and cream milk shake.

I’m sure everyone here is already donating to their Church, but it’s simple math. Give to the church minus what we spend at the fast food joint or skip the fast food joint and give that money to the Church TOO.

I think our bishops have made it very clear that some of our religious rights are being trampled. I agree with them.

What the mayors and the alderman have said just underscores that.

Remember the parable about mustard seed?

Is a Dairy Queen cone junk food?

What about the money spent on fine dining? I spent $20.00 for a spinach salad with roasted salmon last week. It was a great salad, but $20.00 :eek:

Some of us do both, and enjoy the food. You can stay fit and healthy and enjoy some of the food at times, and still be generous with the Church.

Unless you are saying you don’t buy any food period, and give that money to the poor. In that case, I salute you, since I could not not do that.

What is happening is that a group of highly placed politicians are trying to banish a group of people from doing business in their town because they don’t like their ethical moral values (which are actually main stream moral values.) This sort of suppression has happened in the past with devistating results. I don’t know why anyone would want to defend it.

Yeah, and you’re sympathy will be worthless, because by then it will be much too late. You can either wake up and care now, or save your tears when problems arise later. No one who saw what some government officials are emboldened to do and realized where they would like to take us frankly wants toe sympathy of someone who said the whole time “you’re just overreacting!”

Threats like these are simply test cases for rights being taken away. They don’t work initially, but lay the ground for a slow erosion.

I’m guessing you really haven’t read anything related to this issue, because you keep saying things like “why are you supporting a chicken sandwich” or “Baptist chicken sandwiches aren’t sacramental” etc.

So you have sworn off all restaurants?

And why give money to grocery stores, when you can just grow your own?

How far do we want to take this logic, where you have sworn off one industry because you can use that money for “real good” but refuse to swear off another industry when the same reasons apply?
