Gay rights activists HATE Christianity, Christians, businesses that promote traditional Christian morality, or things that even resemble traditional morality. Their goal is not to “establish equality” but rather to destroy the traditional sense of morality and establish their own perverse sense of moral relativism as the new standard.
There seems to be a certain irony that this talk comes from people who don’t seem to care about what they put in their mouths anyway.Is their food good? We don’t have it here, and I never tried it when I was traveling for work. A hater on FB told me to “enjoy your sodium-drenched, chicken paste wads,” but I don’t know that he is an accurate food critic.
And eating at a fast food place is somehow to promote Christian values? I guess I see how if a huge group of people are gathered at each Chic-fil-a, it demonstrates that at least there’s a good amount of people, either secular or religious (cant tell which), that support traditional marriage. But don’t fool yourself into thinking your money is going to the cause.
The business exists to make a profit, I don’t think anyone disputes that. Second, this issue would not be very big if politicians didn’t try and punish free speech.
I’d be interested in taking a look at the proof you have that the money doesn’t go to the cause.

Now, now. I, at least, know a few gay rights advocates who are Christians, indeed Catholics. That may not be great enough numbers for you, and what you say may be closer to the norm, but you can’t dismiss those who don’t fit that norm.

The support Chick-fil-A received is because money was already going to the cause. Those who ate there didn’t have any expectation that their money was going to be donated. They were supporting a business that already gives and was vilified by the haters for giving to and vocally supporting traditional marriage causes. You and Rich O have it bass ackwards.
It’s already been established that those politicians have no power to close a business down because of the business owner’s politics.
That would be tremendously charitable on your part, but unnecessary. Unless you have been the one being intolerant, it is not your duty to apologize for someone else.

Exactly. There was no advertising because no one was asking him to donate last night’s windfall to the cause. Interestingly enough, only people who vociferously argued against supporting Chick-fil-A are now demanding he give the money to the cause.
