Another similarity is only male pastors.

Personally I belief it’s because LCMS is closer to Catholicism in a lot of the doctrinal issues such as Baptism and only Male pastors.

Also I think the question regarding Christ physically present in communion has something to do with it too. Both Catholics and LCMS would answer “yes” to that question. (Even though we aren’t in total agreement on how it happens)
 
Weird quiz.

Said my #1 was Orthodox and my #2 was Catholic, and after that it was bizarre.

Church of Christ came up is several of the results, I was raised in a Campbellite church, and they will not Baptize infants. Mormon came up:confused:. Quaker came up, and they don’t even Baptize.

Really, truly a puzzling quiz.

Well, speaking of weird results, I got Orthodox as #1 even though I answered that infants should not be given Communion (and Orthodox are the only one’s on the list who do give infants Communion).
 
Hey, Lak–HERE is another one.

It does not have as many options (I don’t think Mormon is on the list–nor should it be) and there is no Orthodox–what they call neo-orthodox has nothing to do with EOC–but I came out 100% Catholic on it:D

That one was tough, but at least I got the right results first time around. I also can see my Wesleyan/Evangelical roots showing clearly through:thumbsup:

Not much of a surprise

You are a classical liberal. You are sceptical about much of the historicity of the Bible, and the most important thing Jesus has done is to set us a good moral example that we are to follow. Doctrines like the trinity and the incarnation are speculative and not really important, and in the face of science and philosophy the surest way we can be certain about God is by our inner awareness of him. I took the originally posted quiz and it said my top ten are Evangelical Lutheran, Lutheran-MO, EOC, Assemblies of God, Church of Christ, Episcopalian, Methodist, Mennonite Brethren, Presbyterian USA, then Roman Catholic. My bottom ten were (From #15 to #24) Reformed Baptist, Reformed Church, Southern Baptist, United Pentecostal Church, Orthodox Quaker (almost the same as my first church a few years ago when I was a young Christian), Mormon, JW, Liberal Quaker, Unitarian and finally Unity Church.
I found four more. Two were very disappointing, not detailed in their results, but this one had 27 choices, including pagan and Hindu et al. It gave my top third as EOC, Roman Catholic (tie at 100%), mainline-conservative Protestant, SDA, Orthodox Quaker, Orthodox Judaism, mainline-liberal Protestant, Islam and LDS. Whoa. I’m more Jewish than liberal Protestant? Since I know I’m a Christian, I don’t know what that means. Maybe nothing.
My bottom third on that one, from #19 to # 27, are Neo-pagan,Theravada Buddhist, Christian Science, nontheist, secular humanist, New Age (tie at 13%), New Thought and Scientology and Taoism (tie at 10%) Maybe they give you 10% just for taking the test.
I will try to find the address to the other one again and link it if anyone is interested. made my top 5 of 13 EOC, Methodist/Nazarene, Anglican, Lutheran and Catholic and my bottom five Congregationalist, Anabaptist, Baptist (non-calvinist), Baptist (partial calvinist) and SDA.
The lesson must be that it really depends on whom you ask. Now I’m more confused.:confused:

I would like to try that quiz. I’ve already taken the beliefnet.com quiz, which I don’t like because it includes non-Christian religions. I have not seen one that has Congregationalist, Anabaptist, Baptist(non-Calvinist) and Baptist (partial Calvinist) as choices. I would like to try it if you can find it.🙂

On this one, I’m Orthodox. Lutheran and Catholic are tied, but I’m more Presbyterian/Reformed than Methodist. :confused: I answered the predestination questions along the lines of an Arminian, not a Calvinist.
