What’s absurd about it?
I just had a surreal picture in my head of the Indian priest at MIL’ church or the Sierra Leone priest at the next parish over or the Viet Namese priest at yet another parish we attend as being frothing white supremacists.

But whatever boats your float, I guess.

At one of the parishes in my diocese there is a Vietnamese Mass, a Latin Mass, an English Mass. Most parishes have at least one Spanish Mass, and another parish is predominantly African American. This white supremacy idea is nonsense.

Didn’t the Southern Baptist’s break from the General Baptist’s over slavery? It may not have been the only reason but I recall reading that it was a predominate one.

That and the earlier LDS churches are the only examples I can think of where race was an issue in any Christian Church! Many churches are segregated by choice but I don’t know any other than the two I mentioned that were specific about being segregated or racist by plan.

I forgot about those horrid southern state laws so my statement was in reference to “other than when required by laws”.

Thanks! :hugs:

But my family came from that region when it was going back and forth from France to Germany and on their census forms in the U S sometimes put mother/father born in France/Germany on different years… Even the children were so confused!!!
