I really don’t understand why “some” people have to constantly gripe, nitpick, and lodge grievances against the Church and the Pope. It’s an unhealthy hobby that says more about “them” than the Church.
It would appear then, that disagreements with the Pope on this issue are matters of interpretation of doctrine, not new (and heretical) doctrine.But the letter’s authors take no account of the number of bishops and theologians, including the pope himself, who contend that Amoris can and should be read in continuity with Catholic teaching on marriage, sexuality and the family.
