Isn’t Rasmussen usually an outlier? However, I’ve thought from the start that the race would tighten and, in the end, be very close.
I think it has been. In any event, I think the football spiking on the Clinton side is a bit premature. A lot can/will happen between now and then.

It can be confusing because there are different odds systems. The -450 Clinton, +325 Trump odds are based on $100. Clinton is the favorite: bet $450 on her and you’ll win $100. Trump’s the underdog: bet $100 on him and you’ll win $325.
The one I’m familiar with is the horserace. If the betting odds show 4-1, on a $2 bet you get roughly $8 back PLUS the $2 you paid for the ticket.

Means very little.
Not really. If polls continue to show a decline, the candidate is basically put on alert to prop up his/her campaign. Trump has a new manager now, I think. If Clinton keeps dropping, she will do something other than simply “run out the clock.”

Obama’s High Approval Rating is a Good Sign for Hillary Clinton

President Obama’s rising approval rating nationally may bode well for Hillary Clinton in the general election.

The relationship between approval for Obama and support for Clinton is very strong, according to an analysis by the NBC News Data Analytics Lab.

Republicans argue that a Clinton presidency would amount to a third term for Obama, but in states where his job approval is high, that’s good news for Clinton’s campaign.

It looks like a lot of the members of the National Hispanic Advisory Committee for Trump are planning on resigning after Mr. Trump’s immigration speech last night:
Following immigration speech, Hispanic Trump backers withdraw support
When Donald Trump and the president of Mexico stood side-by-side on Wednesday afternoon, Jacob Monty was celebrating for his candidate. But just one day later, Monty has withdrawn from Trump’s National Hispanic Advisory Council.
“I felt so cool, I felt so excited. I was defending him on cable TV while he was in Mexico. I thought that took bold leadership. I thought this is a guy who is tackling the problem,” Monty told USA TODAY about Trump’s decision to go to Mexico to meet with President Enrique Peña Nieto.
Then last night, Monty sat down to watch Trump’s immigration speech. He was ready to hear some of the ideas the advisory board had discussed in a meeting with Trump two weeks earlier. Trump had seemed receptive to their proposals, Monty said.
“He promised us a compassionate, realistic way of dealing with the non-criminals, and he didn’t deliver,” said Monty, who is a labor, employment, and immigration lawyer in Texas.
On Thursday, Monty told the campaign that he could no longer be on the advisory board.

Alfonso Aguilar, the head of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, said that Trump’s speech was "a debacle for the Trump campaign” and expected as many as a half a dozen members of Mr. Trump’s Hispanic Advisory Committee to step down or otherwise withdraw their support.

I disagree that the race will be close in the end, but I agree that Rasmussen is an outlier. At least that’s what Ericsson and Limbaugh tell me and they seem to have their fingers on the polling pulse.

Catholics voting for the pro abortion on demand democrat 🤷😊
Right like Trump is very Pro-Life? I don’t like Clinton nor do I like her stance in abortion, but Trump’s mouth and Twitter posts are making me not want to vote for him at all.

Because saying mean things is worse than enthusiastic support for the murder of more than 1 million children per year?

Trunp hasn’t got a perfect position on abortion, because he supports the exceptions, but Mike Pence has said with Trump regarding Roe v Wade, it would be on the, “ash heap of history”. Pence has a very positive record on abortion in his own state, so for him to say that means something. Also Trump has received the endorsement from various pro life groups, the latest one I heard was The National Right To Life Pac.

Yes, some of Trump’s language etc. has been offensive and over the line, and that deserves criticism… and there may be plenty of pro-lifers who will hold their nose, so to speak, to vote for Trump, but they’ll do it because the consequences for the lives of unborn children could be made even worse if Hillary Clinton is elected.

You’ve got to come to your own decision.

Rasmussen had Clinton up four two weeks ago. Every poll of likely voters has the race tight now. Rasmussen is hardly an outlier. Rasmussen had a stellar reputation prior to 2012, but got that wrong. In a campaign of shifts and volatile movement, Trump seems to the momentum right now since Clinton has been MIA for the most part and Trump’s team seems to have convinced him to stay on message and avoid random comments. Still a lot of time for the election to move either direction.

The Clinton news media is so dishonest! They conveniently leave off the word ILLEGAL from Trumps stance on ILLEGAL immigration. When the dishonest media leaves out the word ILLEGAL, it changes the meaning and they know it!

Very dishonest!

That they can do this and get away with it,speaks more to the voters’ that they appeal.Usually uninformed voters’ or those so elite they don’t much give a darn…

With his immigration tirade, Trump squashed what minute chance he still had in this election. He showed brilliantly his fatal flaw: he values the immediate emotional gratification of telling an audience what they want to hear rather than actually building electoral support. I don’t think he even cares about being president, he just wants to bask in chants and applause at his rallies. I’m glad he’s having fun. The fun will end on Election Day.

What’s dishonest IMO is using the terms ILLEGAL and UNDOCUMENTED interchangeably.

I agree with every sentence of your analysis. I’m not sure though that I am glad he’s having fun. His ‘fun’ is tearing this country apart.

The Senate couldn’t make heads or tails out of the issue of legalities and such. How is the average voter supposed to know this?

Why don’t they stick to the more controllable situation, that of DOCUMENTATION of immigrants, visitors, etc. ?
