As long as people are willing to condone his adolescent behavior we continue down the slope.

Because we prefer Iran and North Korea to have nuclear weapons than have a President that uses off-color language?

of course he has to fight back to defend himself from the unhinged fabric of our country who are still angry they lost the election!

if we let the bullies on the left get away with what they are trying to do, our country is lost!!!
Don’t you live in Canada?

Anyway, you’ve got it all wrong. Folks aren’t angry they lost the election, they’re angry because Trump cheated and won.

You put words in my mouth by parsing what I said to mean something I did not intend and that you know I did not intend. You then excused it by saying you were just correcting my English usage.

Your explanations of your ill-mannered behavior don’t work, and I doubt anyone other than those on your tag team thinks so.

No. If it’s inappropriate from a comedienne, it’s inappropriate for a head of state.
President Trump is proving to be very competent as president which only makes the
unhinged fabric of our society become more…well…unhinged!

this comedian probably has an upcoming show they are probably trying to drive up interest in.

I said no such thing.

I pointed out that I read your post hopefully; that when you start with “It was exactly that”, you sound like you are agreeing , and given that there was no antecedent to “that” it was not clear that that hopeful reading was wrong.
ill-mannered behavior
I don’t like to characterize others’s behavior. We are asked to restrict our remarks to content.

You’ve ignored my point.

If it’s inappropriate for a person with opposing political views to you to insult and make personal remarks, it’s inappropriate for a person with the same political views as you.

Just to clarify things…

The rule with my kids has always been, “Don’t ever let me hear you speaking in a vulgar manner.”

That teaches them to be mindful of their audience and to own it when they get caught. No excuses.

Trump got caught, don’t you think he should be held accountable?
Trump got caught using foul language, and that’s a fact. He has already been “held accountable” likely millions of times by his political opponents pretending offense like a bunch of bogus Puritans.

I like Trevor Noah. He’s very witty. I’m interested in reading his book, “Born a Crime” about being the son of a bi racial couple in South Africa.

He would have done a good job with the WHCD dinner I think.

I read the transcript of what she said, and the problem I had was that it was not funny. Some people rely on shock to get a laugh, and I think that she went so far in that direction she passed the point of laugh-eliciting shock.

To all those who say “well, Trump says…” I will quote you every time you say “This thread is about Trump and not Bill/Hillary/whomever.” To toque works both ways.

do i live in Canada?! NO!

no, i have it right. losing the 2016 election was the worst thing that has happened to the democrats since Al Gore lost! it drove them nuts! President Trump did not cheat, but you are right…he did win.

hillary cheated…and she lost! justice reigned!

No cigar. You’re a great deal more transparent than you maintain that you are.

The grand deflection.
Trump also got caught speaking in a awful, misogynistic way about women.
As Carville might have said: It’s about the misogyny, …

Yes. This is the answer. It’s even worse for the head of state. I don’t know Michelle Wolf. I never have to watch her. What she says and does has no effect on me.

Not so with the president, who still insults people quasi daily.

People defended his tweets about Mika Brezenski bleeding from a facelift. When that’s defended, then one can’t clutch pearls.

I think part of the problem is that Wolf assumed too much aggreement on foundational ideas. For example, there is ONE Republican whom we know pressured a mistress into having an abortion. Wolf over-generalized this to apply to all Republicans including Pence, a man so cautious of giving scandal that he does not meet with women on his own.

She assumed that even Democrats consider abortion so casually that it can be used in jokes the way she did.

And so on. For those who criticize me for defending Trump’s comments, I hand you your defense of Wolf’s.

So did Michelle Wolf, and yet the White House Corresponsdent’s Association still saw fit to invite her to headline their main event and Netflix is giving her a TV show.
