TDS being the prime example.
I don’t think anyone maintains that “TDS” is anything other than animosity so intense that it clouds a a person’s reason. That’s not a mental disease diagnosis and I don’t think anyone maintains that it is. It’s more akin to things like “road rage”. I don’t use the term myself, but I don’t blame people for using it.

Not really an “ad hominum”, but a cautionary that everyone ought to have learned by his teen years. Well, then, let’s split it up. First, the writer is clearly an enemy of the president and therefore his utterances must be examined closely. Second, there is no foundation laid for the opinion. Third, the writer has no professional qualification to make a professional opinion. Fourth, (to repeat) the “definition” is a colloquial one, not DSM.

Man! No foundation, the writer is an enemy, no qualifications? You never got to the allegations. Yes, you are clearly slamming the speaker instead of what he said. Ad hominem in spades.

Trump just has a crude manner and we should let it go? Remember conservatives in a tizzy because Obama wore a tan suit? I would expect more consistency from you. Your habit in overlooking and explaining away Trump’s shortcomings lowers your credibility. IMHO

The allegations? I simply pointed out that there were none of substance, just an opinion without any basis.

I don’t remember anything about a tan suit. As to Trump having a crude manner (at times) that’s hardly a basis for rejecting a president who has done what he has done. It’s not a matter of “explaining away” his shortcomings. I just think they matter little compared to his accomplishments, particularly on behalf of the unborn.

That’s the beauty of living in Free country…
Let’s pray we stay that way! God Bless President Trump and the Nation!🇺🇸🙏

I don’t know if this is a concern to you? I don’t seem to able to track down any statistical data regarding abortions that is more recent than 2016? We are in 2020… Please don’t reference Breitbart or any politically skewed blog.

I know statistical data use to be more current because I use to frequently reference sites like the CDC and not be more than a year off of the present. However, even the CDC only has information until 2016. I know the data shows that the rate of abortions had increased through the 1980s’ and then started a download trend since 1990. I would be curious of what the rate of improvement has been during this Administration?

Since reporting of abortions is not mandatory, a number of states don’t. So the information would have become less and less reliable. The increased use of chemical abortifacients and the aging of the population would, of themselves cause the rate to go down.

But that doesn’t make it any less an evil or reduce the guilt of those who support it and politicians who do.

Why do you keep on quoting NYT, the mother of all Fake News!

Me too. The rate has, of course, been gign down since Reagan. I would like to see if the rate of decline has changed under Trump.

Basically, you have no data that supports your claim?

My concern is that you are stating this to be an accomplishment of the President? Yet, there is no data to support that premises; from a reliable non-partisan source. Trump would be one to quickly take credit if there was information indicating a significant decline in the amount of abortions performed during the time of his administration.

In the case of the CDC, they have been tracking statistical data since 1969. Suddenly, in 2016 they abruptly decided to stop? That should be a concern? That is a primary indicator to determine if progress is being made to reduce the procedure.

The conclusion is that there is no data that I can reliably find that indicates the current President has accomplished anything in the realm of reducing the rate of abortions? Certainly, he can present one of his charts were he revised the graph with a sharpie…but not even that is available.

This is a poor reason to support killing innocent children, even if it’s true, which you don’t actually know.

Reading the article, it appears there is an argument over the toxicity of ethylene oxide and the degree to which EPA had public hearings on them. It appears environmentalists got one plant that used it shut down in Atlanta. But a federal judge ordered it reopened because it uses ethylene Oxide to clean COVID19 protective equipment.

Choices.

I don’t think the reason is being used to support abortion, just to question support of Trump. That’s not the same thing.

Maybe not, but support of abortion and support of those who support abortion are the same thing.
