I think it’s easier for some people who take advantage of Affirmative Action programs.

Those who want to become surgeons and who show the competence and temperment to be able to do so.

Either there will be fewer qualified surgeons or the surgeons will be less qualified. Either way, that is a danger for those who need life-saving surgeries.

Wonderful. My wife taught in the New York City school system for almost her entire life, and it’s no sinecure.

Rich that’s the problem with affirmative action for entrance. They get in there and can’t always complete the necessary courses. It’s a waste of time and money. Better to make sure objective requirements apply to all equally.

You still haven’t answered me, Rich. Since you think white Americans owe something to black Americans, TELL ME WHAT IT IS! And you seem to consider yourself not in the class of paying back, so tell me why you think you are exempt from these existential reparations.

You know, I think it’s quite ironic that liberal Democrats have done more to destroy the black family in America than slavery ever did, and yet they point fingers at everyone else and scream “You are keepin’ the black man down!” With Johnson’s War on Poverty which was really a war on the black family through welfare, just look at the suffering that’s been put over in the name of “helping.” With help like that, black Americans sure don’t need enemies!

Once black Americans really figure out that their slave-masters just changed institutions, from the plantation to the Democrat party in power in the government, there’s finally gonna be hell to pay. Some black Americans are figuring it out, and are just as insulted as anyone else to be told “You are too stupid to get where you want to go on your own, WE have to help you.” And they are not listening to the old song and dance any more.

Then there would be fewer top students who meet these extremely high standards. And, since that is the case, there would be fewer surgeons.

You can’t have it both ways. If those who don’t qualify as well get into medical school anyway merely because of race or gender, then either the pool of top notch people to become surgeons is smaller or you’re letting lesser qualified people into the pool.

Either way, it is a danger.
